Peonies In Full Bloom

www.facebook.com/100000706550151/posts/4414035071963334/

Incredible how this looks. The Peonies have just started to bloom last couple of weeks and they are in full bloom. Going to take some of that are feeling like big marshmallows and remove the leaves. Then wrap them into paper and store in fridge for later blooming.

I really hope this works well. First time trying this. But who knew I would have a fridge full of flowers instead of food.

Well who needs food when we can have this amazing sent of peonies

Sunsets Over The Months

It has been way to long again since I was here writing. Have you ever felt like you have lost a passion for something. Well I kind of did with my writing here. Though in past months I have found I rekindled with my camera.

Yes Sunsets have taken over my evenings of joy and happiness.

Well it has been a summer to remember and now the Fall is here again too. Well wait…. I think I should say winter! As Halloween has come and gone. And promptly the Snow fell already too.

I coud not believe today as I drove in my truck I heard the first Christmas Songs on the raidio.

So I thought I better show you some on my Sunsets & Sunrises I hade seen this past months.

An Eye For An Eye

First Day of Spring March 21st.

So I know we are all going though something no one had to deal with. This Corvid 19 is keeping us all from doing what we love… We have to be in isolation and for many of us this is a big stressful time.

Here is my video of my walk: https://youtu.be/qaYUwBiZSqs

My husband is working from home do to this corvid 19 and at beginning of all this isolation he had strep throat too. So I really had to be staying away from him too. Just don’t want to get any off it…

Hopefully this explains a little why I am going for a drives and isolate myself in truck from time to time.

Just like last Saturday

…. into the country..

As many of you know I just go for a drive in the past to wherever the truck takes me too. So far I only got lost once.

This probably has been my last drive for a while…

Kim Ryan Makes

By Kim Ryan
Owner/Artisan, Kim Ryan Makes

I subscribe to lots of knitting blogs. They’re a great way to get ideas, share information and stay in touch with trends in the knitting world.

Since I live in Canada, I have a special fondness for Canadian knitting blogs since they often blog on local issues that don’t always involve wool and needles.

Also, Canadian’s are known worldwide for being  a pretty funny bunch and most of the blogs below do have a large serving of that dry Canuck humor. In no  particular order of preference, I present to you my choice of 10 Great Canadian Knitting Blogs…

A Reason To Be ‘ME”

IMG_4865“Everybody got their reason, everybody got there ways”.

So why are we posting blog posts, one my ask?

Well I enjoy showing You, my followers and readers what is Me. The things I like and do in a day or week, perhaps months or years…

Days in the week I work at my job where I get a pay cheque. I absolutely love to help our customers. You need help with fabric selections, just let me know.  Totally love tho put them together for You. Here I get to talk to people that like to be creative too.

The rest of my days are spent doing things for our family / daughter, our home and garden. Our myself, smiles.  This all is absolutly the Best part of my moments spend in a day. Being there for them “My Family”

Wow I tell You I have pictures on my phone….So handy to have these cell phones now a days!

Haha, some say I could be one of the spooks person for the Market & Co that just opened up its doors at Upper Canada Mall.

So here is where the networking and my Blog, Facebook, Instagram and all the other apps I am part of comes in to place. My creative side enjoys to show You what I have worked on, this may not always be knitting;-). Even though that has been my passion for so long. You can see sewing results for last years. Our garden is my peacefull moments. My Family is my Love. Traveling I wish I coud do more with my hubby.

My connections to You all, I Totally love!

Enjoy the comments and connections I have with some of You. Yes agree one has to be aware of the “bad” connections on some apps. I say use common sence and be aware not everything or everyone  is at it seems.

Where am I going with this?

I just love to be ME and enjoy to show You my part of this WORLD.

So Be Happy And Never Forget To Be KIND!

Thank You

Versatile Wave Purse

IMG_4904Totally love this purse idea as the name

“Versatile Wave”

indicates, one purse with many looks. Sew up one main inner bag and then just make several outer covers.

IMG_4917

With that said even with just one outer cover you can have 2 different looks. See my pictures, one is floral and the other is abstract print. Same main bag with two liners heach opposite.

Love how this designer “Susan Rooney” gives us this perfect written and illustrated  pattern.

With mine, I find that either the outer section could be sewn together with 1/4 ” seem  instead with 5/8″ as my inner main bag seem to be a slight bit too big for the outer cover.

Overall this pattern is well worth the purchase and creating Your “One Of A Kind” Purse… You should come and see me at my work place I can give you all the ideas on fabric selections if you need some help with that. I love to help you and be creative. Only promise is …Smile You have to come and show me the end result. Totally love to see it :-)

Oh and I forgot to say, You can also just use the inner bag to go into any other purse you have without ever having to transfer allll the may special items you carry along in you bag…LOL if your like me You will have many.

Reaching Out To Fellow Bloggers

IMG_4166Just like many of you, I have been on WordPress for many years too.

And I was wondering if I could ask You for some input…

At the beginning lets say about 10 years ago, I started postings so my parents in Switzerland could see what I am working on here in Canada. Some of you may know I also posted each post in English and German to make it easy for them and German-speaking readers.
Since my dad past, I kind of stopped the German posting as one can switch to have it translated.

Unfortunately my mom doesn’t understand how to use the computer but enjoys to Skype with me.

So here is where I am reaching out to You.

I am doing pretty much what you are doing. Perhaps it is the topics that I am posting. Everyone loves food but not everyone can enjoy the knitting etc.
I used to comment and like a lot of other posts by Bloggers and WordPress post. With the Blogger sits I often had to do the posting over and over again as it just would not go through and needed all the passwords etc. found that very time-consuming, and often the comments did not go through. So I lost interest in doing this….sorry.
As well as it felt that I “liked” and “commented” but not really got any reply back…..

I know I should say oh well why do I worry about that?

Since I love to see your posts and like to show you my work and enjoy helping others..it is my passion to be creative.

But that doesn’t stop me from wondering sometimes what do fellow bloggers do to get the comments on sometimes a very simple post, or even just a picture and one sentance?
I don’t believe I have to pay for that or sign up with a services.

I believe my posts should be from what I believe in and how I see my KnitswissYarns Blog. So I just keep on doing what I love and have fun …..the passion continues…

Have a wonderful weekend and if by chance you feel like sending me some info where I can improve my posts …you know what to do….smiles send me a note.

I do care and I thank you for feedback…

Jacqueline

Deep Plum Colour

File 2017-09-19, 10 49 49 AMPerfect for this fall Season is this deep Purple plum colour.

I could think of many projects to knit up…if my time would allow it.

Special Order for Carla A. Canonico of
“A Needle Pulling Thread” and KNITmuch.
Carla told me she loves her purples and is looking forward to seeing the once I have dyed for her.

“It has to be the right purple”

File 2017-09-19, 10 51 17 AM

I believe it is the one just like the Italian dark Plums. The one we can find in most grocery stores in the past view weeks.
So here are a view skeins dyed and drying up in the last week of summer. Truly love how beautiful they look in the sunshine

Kiki Mittens

2017-02-14-13-03-34Not just once I knit them ..yes two pairs I knit up…well this one was a funny one. I hade this really nice colour in stock of my own “KnitswissYarns” fingering weight in light and dark gray and a red for accents. Pattern is available to purchase on Raverly too

So as I am knitting them my daughters hamster had babies again. Believe me they are sooo adorable and sooo tiny and grow within 3-4 weeks to the point where we need to find a home for them.

So here is where I am going with this story. I was past 2/3 of one mitten when I decided to go and see the babies..not relizing I must have moved the magnetic strip marker on the pattern up by yessss…. two rows.

back to my knitting…started where I thought I had left and knit to top of fingers where I cast off. Ok looks goo I though..but what is that…the pattern is not like the fist part…what did I d here?

So no way I am going to open this up just knit the second one with the same error…no not error I call it the “Kiki Mittens” because  that is what the hamster mom is called.

So ok, knit the second mitten the same way. Only to realize “I” know knit to mittens for my right hand….AHHHHHH how could I be so …..? Could not believe this..

Ok now I had to knit two left once with the same “Kiki” thought…lol

So love them and what a story I thought….Smile Maria I know you told me you love that second pair as much as I love mine too….

Rikki Hat For The Next Snowfall…not

file-2017-02-23-11-05-58-amSnow falling only less then 10 days ago…

Walking in the winter wonderland with so much snow on the trees shaking the snow off them as I stood underneath…

making snow-angels  in the snow…

yes just like a kid…. So much fun.

So good for the mind.

Loved every moment of it.

Ok all this made me knit this Rikki hat as my hat kept on moving over my eyes having fun in the snow….So with one skein of DK weight yarn and a circular needles of I went. Knit up very fast. So happy with this on….only all the snow is gone now…

So viel Spaß!

AHHH, Squishy Soft For The Winter

2016-09-06-22-10-16Super soft is this scarf. Had this project traveling along in my truck for the past year or so. Just in case I went somewhere and I forgot to take my knitting along..smiles. One never knows when a UFO is coming in handy to have.

This pattern is called Churros by Lisa R. Myers. Available to download on Raverly too. Super easy and fun to especial with this soft yarn  Manos del Uruguay Fino. I love knitting with any yarn they carry. For this pattern I only needed 2 skeins, one of each colour. 2014-06-03-12-38-48

Happy to have this scarf finished now. A well worth brioche pattern to knit up for your next project too.
