Red Clapotis Shawl
This is almost unbelievable but I have to finish this long UFO project one day…. I started knitting this last January 2010 and I put it away as I was almost thinking of ripping it open and knit another pattern with this gorgeous yarn called Fleece Artist Silk Stream I used 2 Skeins and needle size 4mm for this shawl. I could not have the heart to undoooooo…… all this and as I do love the pattern I finally finish it …… I love the result sooo long I can have some fun wearing this one in the coming nicer weather….

Das ist fast unglaublich, aber ich musste dieses lange UFO-Projekt eines Tages fertig stricken. Letzten Januar 2010 habe ich mit diesem Schal angefangen einige male dachte ich dass ich alles wieder öffnen werde und ein anderes Muster damit stricken sollte.
Doch ging mir das nicht übers Herz dass alles auf zu trennen. So entlich, der Schal ist fertig geworden….mit diesem tollen Garn genannt: Fleece Artist Silk Stream habe ich 2 Stränge und Nadelstärke 4mm gebraucht. Mir gefällt das Ergebnis, sooo schön Lang und Breit ist er, da kann ich etwas Spaß haben ihn zu tragen in dem kommenden schönen Frühlings Wetter hoffe ich.
Dieses Muster ist auch auf Ravelry Gratis zu bekommen.

Flutter Scarf in Purple
So I promised you all a slightly less frilled look of a scarf…the the “Frill Seeker Scarf”. But this one is my prefered 
scarf style. This pattern has been designed by Miriam L Felton and you can download it on ravelry under “Flutter Scarf”….sorry but there is a fee for this one.
The yarn is called “Malabrigo Yarn Lace” one skein = 470 yards (429.8m) in the colour Cuzaro 97 knit with needle size US 3 – 3.25 mm. This is also a store Sample for Unwind Yarn House.
The scarf is knit from the centre outwards so you need to cast on with a provisional cast on and the work to the ruffled edge and cast off. Then picking up the stitched again at the provisional cast on edge and knit the second half. I did find that I had a little bit of an issue as I did have the correct stitch amount but the pattern just would not line up correctly with the first side. So I improvised and voila no one would know or see it if I would not have mentioned it. But thought I give you this info just incase I am not the only one with this Issue. (The colour in the pictures of the finished scarf is the correct one….. Purple.)
Wie versprochen hier ist der Schal den ich mit etwas weniger Frills als der “Frill Seeker Schal”gestrickt habe. Mein bevorzugter Schal Style. Dieses Muster is von Miriam L Felton auch bei Ravelry herunter zu laden unter “Flutter Scarf”…sorry doch das Muster ist nicht Gratis.

Dieser Schal wird von der Mitte aus gestrickt. Mit einem Provisional Anschlag strickt man bis zu dem Ende zu
den Frills. Maschen abketten. Dann die Maschen bei dem Provisional Anschlag auf die Nadel legen und das zweite Teil fertig stricken. Muss aber sagen, ich hatte genau die richtigen Maschen Zahl, doch stimmte da irgend etwas nicht mit dem Muster. Es lag einfach nicht geanu über das Muster von ersten Teil…so improvisierte ich etwas und voila alles geht gut und schaut auch gut aus…niemand würde es sehn oder merken wenn ich nicht davon geschrieben hätte…doch dachte ich es soll auch hier herein im Fall wenn sonst jemand auch Probleme hat dabei….so bin ich vielleicht nicht die einzige. ( Die Farbe bei den fertig gestrickten Schal is die Richtige…Violet)

White And Fluffy Snow
Look at the snow we have in our backyard….not as much as London, Ontario up to one meter in one week….I remeber those times in London and in Gstaad, Switzerland…..but the mountains ohh they are not here…. I hear Europe such as Paris and London aswell as Geneva Switzerland did have a lot of that white stuff too.
It has been snowing on and off for the pasted week….it looks so pretty…but the shoveling has to be done too and next to this my knitting projects have to be finished too…So I am keeping this short this time…Have a nice and peaceful weekend…

Schaut wie viel Schnee wir in unserm Garten haben….nicht so viel wie London, Onatrio sie haben bis zu einem Meter Schnee währent einer Woche bekommen. Ich erinnnere mich an diese Zeiten in London und in Gstaad. Doch die Bergen sind nicht bei mir….. Ich sehe auch in Europa wie Paris, London oder Genf in der Schweiz haben viel von dem Weissen bekommen.
Doch das Schnee schaufeln muss gemacht werden und ich habe noch etliches an Strickarbeiten zum Erledigen….so ich mach es diesmal kurz….doch wünsche ich Euch Allen ein frohes gemühtliches Wochenende

Swing Linen Throw-on
Ohhhh what a gem to have in my Closet. Knit with Linen “Firefly” and so light feathery and airy….I just love to wear this. Well believe it or not. I suggested this would be a great pattern for me to knit for Wendy for her store. She agreed….I smiled. But half way though I went so see to her and told her I don’t think this yarn and pattern will work. The stitches were so uneven I really did not think any of her costumers will buy the yarn and or would be interested in knitting this for them selfs…..well Wendy told me she loves it and I should continue.
She will take the heat…hahhahah.
So I did….and guess what this is the second time I told her I am not sure about it.
And the end result is so beautiful and I love it.
I have to say, the yarn was a ????? to me, as I mentioned very uneven stitches as I was knitting with size 5 and 6mm needles.
Once I was finished I soaked the “Throw-on” in cold wather. Then dried it in the sun,oh it was just like a burlap sack.
So I put it in the dryer for about 5 minutes and WOW, soooo incredibly soft, the stitches were all nice and even. I could not believe my eyes…..I have bought the yarn to knit one for me now.
Wendy you just can’t be the only one owning one of them…hahah.
Lucky Wendy and me. FUn fun fun for the Spring and Summer……we will be so hipp….

Ohhhh, was für ein Juwele
so etwas in meinem Schrank zu haben. Habe das mit Linen “Firefly”Gestricket es ist so federleicht und luftig …. es ist so schön as zu tragen. Ich schlug Wendy vor, das dass ein gutes Muster sei für die Linen “Firefly” Garn das Sie im Geschäft verkauft. Sie willigte ein …. Ich lächelte. Doch halb fertig gestricket sage ich mir und auch Wendy , “ich glaube nicht, dass dieses Garn und Muster schön heraus kommt”. Die Stiche waren so Unregelmaessig dass ich nicht glaubte dass einer ihrer Kundinnen das Garn kaufen würde oder interesse hat dieses für sich zu stricken ….. doch Wendy sagte mir, sie liebt es und ich sollte es zu Ende stricken. Sie nehmen die Hitze … hahhahah …. und ratet mal, dass ist schon das zweite Mal, dass ich sagte, ich bin nicht sicher. Und das Endergebnis ist so schön. Ich muss sagen, was das Garn angeht war ich nicht sicher da ich sehr uneben Stiche hatte beim Stricken, braucht die Größe 5 und 6mm Nadeln zum Strickte.
Sobald ich fertig war, durchnässt ich das Gewände mit kaltem Wasser. Dann trocknete ich es in der Sonne, ohhh es war wie ein Jutensack. So loss in den Trockner für etwa 5 Minuten und WOW, soooo unglaublich weich kam es heraus und die Maschen alle schön gleichmäßig. Ich konnte meinen Augen nicht glauben ….. Ich habe das Garn auch gleich gekauft damit ich es auch für mich selber stricken kan.

Purple Jacket / Cardigan
Purple Jacket / Cardigan
This is a great
to wear for the upcoming cooler days. Can be worn over a Tank-Top half buttoned up or just leave it open. Another option would be to button it up all the way.
I have knit it with a yarn that has Mohair in it and for some this particular yarn may be too itchy to wear with no Top underneath.
Any other type of yarn can be use to knit this cardigan, as long as you make sure the gauges are correct.

Foursquare Bracelet
This Foursquare Bracelet was a fun project. The pattern asked for Swarovski Crystal to add-on by the Clasp. I chose to use up some of my black beads instead. Enjoy wearing it as it is lose almost more a Bangle Bracelet. You could wear two at a time or make the clasp more dramatic. Add it on with another one of your favourite Bracelet as I am wearing it.
