Peonies In Full Bloom

www.facebook.com/100000706550151/posts/4414035071963334/

Incredible how this looks. The Peonies have just started to bloom last couple of weeks and they are in full bloom. Going to take some of that are feeling like big marshmallows and remove the leaves. Then wrap them into paper and store in fridge for later blooming.

I really hope this works well. First time trying this. But who knew I would have a fridge full of flowers instead of food.

Well who needs food when we can have this amazing sent of peonies

Freedom In The Dance

There is something so peaceful in this world.

Have you ever looked at a spent dandelion close up? So totally beautiful and at peace.

I love taking pictures of them in all ways. So love blowing them to endless dreams. There is this incredible happiness and joy I feel when I see the spores drifting off into the winds.

A freedom that most of us never will experience.

So delicate and soft in the wind they dance in once let go… A dream of mine to fly high and drift of to endless peace, happiness…..I make my WISH….

May you too enjoy this freedom….

After The Rain Beauty

Fresh and all full of rain droplets. Love taking this kind of pictures. Planted the Allium bulbs last fall with the hope I would see them this year.

I keep on looking to see if I see a reflection in any of the droplets… One day I will master this too.

Wishing You all a nice Sunday…

Magnolia In Bloom

Spring is finally hear…

Though It feels like we skiped Spring once again… with +30 in past days.

So loving this heat…

Well until today.

It’s Ok too grass and flowers love it.

My Magnolia tree is In full bloom once again this season… Glad I did get some great pictures before the rain today.

Blooming To Perfection

I received this amazing request this morning…yess so cool!

‘We keep hearing that ViewBug members want to know more about how their favorite images were created. We’re inviting a few hand-picked photographers to share more information on how they created a special image for a chance to be featured.

Since your photo “Blooming To Perfection” is one of your most popular shots we’d like to invite you to share the story behind this photo”

If they like what I am writing picture will be featured on their blog.

Always love taking pictures of water droplets on anything I can find. This day May 9 it was one of those days where we had some rain just the morning off. So I know there would be some great pictures. However this tulip took my eye right over. It was the first one to open up this year and it looked just so special in the new stage of life. Sometimes I feel many people see the beauty in the open flowers only.

This to me was even more special.

I feel the three leaves surrounding the inner pedals, are like a mother hugging her child.

For this shot I used my Canon EOS 70D and used my Macro lens to get it nice and close up.

Have a open mind look for the unusual things in life. See the beauty though your heart and soul….Just have fun.I very seldom modify my pictures. I may crop them here and there to take out extra that is not needed in picture.

Canadian Tiger Swallowtail

Also known as Canadian Tiger Sallowtail….

Beautiful to see them flutter by… I honestly can say I was so happy to see this one flying around in my backyard. Have not seen one for so many years. We usually have the Monarch butterflies in our area.. but seeing this Yellow Tail butterfly made me happy…

I since have seen even a Black Swallowtail. But it zipped along so fast and not resting anywhere on my flowers a picture just was not possible….

Does anyone know if this one belongs to the monarch type Butterflies family?

Spring Flowers

IMG_1973Flowers are blooming everywhere now…

So not just animals and bugs are in my backyard…

Pink Peony so beautiful

Enjoying the sunshine too. Beautiful day today ….

Peony is one flower I am happy to have in my garden…

Yes Ants come with this flower…Don’t mind that either…I know they serve a purpose…IMG_1947

Just care less for ant hills in the grass.

Raindrops

IMG_9701 (3)So you said it is raining again…well yes we have had a fair share of rain this spring and yes summer…Thunderstorms are usually here too.

So the one good thing is the grass …well the weeds are growing like mad.

I always have had a interrest in taking water droplet picture in the hope one day I can see the reflection of me in them …no luck so far. Or I just have not mastered the technic of this yet. I am hopeful one day I get it right.

But here I think these pictures are not to bad….really love the spiderweb and the funny end bloom of the Clematis flower.

… kein Glück so weit. Oder ich habe die Technik noch nicht beherrscht.

Diese Bilder sind aber recht gut  … das Spinnennetz und die  ende Blüte der Clematis Blume gefallen mir besonders gut.IMG_9707

My “150 Canada Celebration Tulip”

File 2017-05-31, 3 10 15 PM

“150 Canada Celebration Tulip”

White And Red I thought…..but Yellow and Red mine are…

Smile “Nature”  has it’s own way.

They where to be pure white with red. Was it to be red Maple Leaves from what I hear?

File 2017-05-31, 3 51 16 PMMagical I guess they are now.

I was kind of surprised too when the one of 50 bulbs I planted last Fall opened up YELLOW with red markings….

Really?! was my first initial thought…..

Finally…today we have some sunshine for my 50 Tulips to all open up…and it looks like I have more than 50 heads yehhh……yes all in light yellow… but one. Look at the one that looks like Micky Mouse Ears.

very pretty and with jagged edges… like someone did some paper cutting all though the edges.

Have to say there is not much white to them ….but who cares they are pretty and

on really super tall stems too. I hope they will last for at least two weeks.

And I am sure we all will have a fun 150 Year Canada

even if our tulips are Yellow with Red…

Happy 150 Year Canada…

Antigua Holidays

IMG_2824Spending some time together with my hubby…yehhhh just him and I in the beautiful Island of Antigua. I tell You I was in paradise for sure.

Sooo miss it now…:-)))

The ocean turquoise blue and so clear and warm. The resort “St.James Club and Villas” truly a fantastic place.

Let me tell you the people just sooooo happy all the time…but how could you not living in the sunshine all the time and having the sound of the evening crickets chirp you to sleep. IMG_3859 Once the crickets stop you know it is time to get up!!!….and the birds start to sing….as you hear the surf of the ocean hit the shore and the palm leaves swing in the wind…So Peaceful and relaxing.

We where able to go onto two snorkeling trips. One with a catamaran along the Caribbean side of the Ocean that we booked and one right from our resort.  Guess what, that trip we won at Monday nights mangers party …luck us the ocean was calm on the second last day of our holidays.

IMG_3811Conch shells where lots to be found…smiles without the conch in it and to get the pink colour one had to find the one that was still housing the conch in it…and hubby dove down to the ocean floor several times to find some for us….We had seen a stingray and several schools of beautiful fishes even two big barracuda where close to us too…..

I think the pictures will tell you a story all on its own.

I sure can tell you I really miss that part of our world…and I am happy to say all that rain has finally stopped that we have been getting since we came back …..so I can be outside again enjoying my gardening now all is green… (cry not ocean blue….)

Memories are beautiful to have too….one day we will be back.

Our Backyard Life

IMG_7524With this summer so gorgeous we have had all kind of visitors in our backyard. Here are some of our regulars that stop by. A Cardinal and a red & black Squirl, numerous amounts of chipmunks and rabits. I thought I have seen it all..but get this!2013-07-31 15.23.45 In the past month we had a groundhog on the deck. Four raccoons in the trees and yes a skunk just wondering up the driveway and on another evening just wondering though the lawn as I and hubby sat quietly enjoying a summer evening together on the deck.IMG_7528
