Winter Wonderland

How beautiful is it to walk in the country with the snow covered fields all around you.

Sure it is cold and burr the wind is blowing lots too. Oh my Goshhhh,I could not believe my luck today, LOL.

I tell you, just one picture into the walk my camera told me the the card is full!! Oh no… really ?!

Gurr mittens off and deleting quickly some of the picture from way long ago…

All was set to take in the winter Wonderland in pictures once again.

Hope you will approve of them as much as I had fun falling into the snow and getting the camera and myself covered in snow too….Yes the ground was uneven as most county sites are and the snow hides it all. But that makes it so much more special to take the fun and special pictures. Most of all Memories to have.

After The Rain Beauty

Fresh and all full of rain droplets. Love taking this kind of pictures. Planted the Allium bulbs last fall with the hope I would see them this year.

I keep on looking to see if I see a reflection in any of the droplets… One day I will master this too.

Wishing You all a nice Sunday…

Grenada, I’ll Be back One Day

This last morning at the beach was the perfect ending to this amazing trip…

Had this stray dog pop himself down right by my side as I was reading. I thought this was to funny…

Memories and Joy in my life.

I say Thank You to all that made this trip so special and a joy in my Life .

…..Ah Yes already a month passed. It has been so amazing and fun… I am speechless with all I have see and experianced and that in only 23 days.

Do You see what I see?
HEART

Sandy Island, Caribbean,

Yes I was in total amazement and could not believe how unbelievably blessed I felt as we sailed into this Bay. Paradise Beach on one side of the bay and Sandy Island on the other side. The water OMG I honestly can say I have only one other time (Antigua) seen the water so Turquoise as it is her…

“Sandy Island, off the west side of Hillsborough Bay, is a favorite daytime destination for snorkelers and sailors. It’s a tiny postcard-perfect reef island of glistening sands surrounded by turquoise waters.”

lol my second attempt snorkeling over to Sandy Beach.. I seem to have a issue with mask filling up with water…

That water was so turquoise blue…. Just wishing we could have stayed longer. I know we all have to get back one day to reality … flights to catch.. new crew coming on board..

Early evening on Lady Natalie.. spending time together so full of laughter, fun moments, time to relax and enjoy the beauty of this incredible Beach.

“My Thoughts Being Creative”

I read this somewhere on a post so true…

“Change your viewpoint, go out and “be interested” in your surroundings and FIND something interesting to photograph or FIND something interesting about life to photograph.”

My thoughts on this is:
The Anchor Is The Center Of Your Heart.
Stay True To Your Heart.
Don’t Forget To Dream And Be Yourself

I find to many times we do as people think we need to do and follow…
I believe in just following what is right for me.

Honestly I don’t even change my pictures much. Possible at times crop them, but that is it. I try to see the photo as I am and that is cool … Just me.

It is as we see it and why change and make them more glam?

Smiles I do the same in my crafting…( Knitting, Sewing etc.)
Lets be us and not make the pictures etc. what it is not…..

Day 8: Carriacou, Caribbean Island

Good morning Sunshine…Jan 16th. 2020

Sea-Glass I found on beach this morning

We are still in Carriacou with plans to get supplies for some food and then heading out to do some sailing… but the Kapt’ns agenda for today was, we practice tacking and jibbing.. Ok I think I am getting the hang of this Lady a little more now. We all had turns on the helm to get to feel the wind and sail…smiles If you tracked the moves on the GPS… lol looks more like a bunch of drunken sailors on the helm… just kidding no drinking as we sail.

With making sure Dave and Clinton get on dinghy with all the food provisions safely to get back in the dinghy?

As Clinton and Dave took food back to sailboat.. Us 3 ladies walked the beach to better spot for us to go back onto the dinghy. I found all kinds of nice shells and even sea-glass. not a lot but first time I actually did find some ever.

Halifax Harbor, Grenada

This must be one of the most special places for me…

Heartfelt Moments.Happy Valentine’s Day..

Lady Natalie out on Sea

I don’t believe I have walked on black sand before….This evening sunset was so magical. Dave, Clinton and I snorkeled from the Lady Natalie over to the beach. As Annabelle took the dinghy to keep an eye on us.

I love this picture of Annabelle. There is this feel I get looking at it. Someone very kind and a heart that cares no matter what.

.

Making foot prints on this Island together with my friends. I am so glad that the weather turned

I don’t sometimes know what makes me so happy seeing something so magical like this beach.

I guess it’s just the simpleness in Life,

Feeling the sand on my toes, waves on my legs, wind in my face.

It’s like stepping into a new feeling of Joy

Back on the Lady we enjoyed such a beautiful happy evening together… Thank you for this Memory

Big Cruise Ship way out there. And even closer was this Luxury Cruise ship… So not my style… love Lady Natalie

Day 5 Grenada, Caribbean Island

We are really enjoying this special coffee every morning. Thank You

Our morning views have alwys been so refreshing and peaceful. Today is the first morning though that we are enjoying looking out to the open sea.

Heading in to port quickly to fuel up and get water and some food too.
Docket at Grenada Yacht Club in morning before heading out to Sea

We are off to sail across to Carriacou today, a 30 mile sail. So excited to see this. My first time going out in to the open ocean water. Yes we always have land in sight.. but jut not close by..

After we sailed for several hours the Kapt’n noticed that the horizon is starting to not be there anymore. Or lets say not as distinct as sky to water was earlier on, a storm was coming in. And we have still more then half to sail to Carriacou… time to go back and anchor at Halifax Harbor. The weather is turning and we don’t want to head into this storm.

Glad we did turn Lady Natalie around… Because we would not have been able to experience this so romantic island. With totally black sand…

So beautiful here.

Our anchorage for tonight after turning back from an attempted passage from Grenada to Carriacou. … I can’t wait to show you some of the moments here….

Sunset at Clarke’s Court Boatyard & Marina

First Sunset on Lady Natalie Jan 9th 2020

The warmth of this evening glow is so magnificent. I don’t think it needs much explanations. …. Only thing I can say is

“Thank You for this moment”.

Fall Has Started

OHHH noooo..

First day of Fall was yesterday and we where out on probably my last sailing of the year. Lake Simcoe has some good winds at time too and beautiful sunset moments!

lol I am writing this now as I am getting a text from hubby…looks like we may go out tomorrow evening again… how can I refuse that!

If weather conditions are good.. why not.

Some of the past weeks sailing times have been pretty nice especially with the sunsets and seeing them from the water.

I am so looking forward to my sailing trip coming up in the deep winter here…

perhaps I’ll go ice-fishing before that too… hahaha.

Adorable Chipmunks

IMG_0517Sitting in my backyard watching all the chipmunks racing around…

Yes they dug up one of my planter….gurrr….

but then they also eat all the seedlings “Airplanes” as I call them falling from the Maple Trees.

So they kind of help me too.

De La Salle Beach in Sutton

IMG_3163This is an Ice Wonderland right here in Sutton, Ontario….

unbelievable how there is sooooo much ice on the beach! This is not to far from us about 30 minutes driving…people where still on the ice doing Ice-Fishing…IMG_3177

I guess they know what they are doing….felt a little more comfortable staying on land at this time of year.

Ultimate….Pockets…Knitting Bag

IMG_2845Yehhh I finished this bag ….after 3 days of sewing….I did it!!!

The pattern is at it original way a Sewing Bag…

I like it, but since I would never use the ironing pad on it. I decided to alter this up…

followed the pattern (except for iron pad)   ….till I came to outer panels.

I tell You I am glad I have a workhorse fo a sewing machine, Janome MC6500 . I used faux Suede and the interfacing was heavy too. Would go lighter next time in my choice of Interfacing or Stabilizer.

Then I was not sure where I had gone wrong? Somehow I ended up with two the same with outer fabric 1 facing out and second 1 facing in….NOOOOO!!! Why is that I ask? IMG_2847

Off to my modifications working a side panel like in the “Sew Together Bag”.  Only to realize that now the bag front and back are falling way to much open.

IMG_2827 - Copy

OK, what next was my question? Lets turn bag inside out and make more pockets…LOL

Perfect !!! FINISHED HUwww…

IMG_2840 - Copy

So I am looking forward to seeing the once worked up at the store…It is the first bag I have put together that has lots of zippers, pockets and folder slots.

I think this will be a great bag to go travel with. Perfect for Passports, Travel documents and yes even my DSL Camera should fit in to my modified bag…

Happy with the end result….yes not perfect with all the exact precise measures….I like it and I managed to sew it up on my own (Embroidery  section for Front pocket is a sample that was going into the garbage!)

Smiles and I get to make another one too….;-)))))

Happy Sewing

Mushrooms After Storm

IMG_9888After we had a nice view days doing things around the house over the Labour Day Weekend…part of hurricane Harvey must have made its way up to us …with rain and Thunder. So the grounds are all wet this Tuesday Morning.  A perfect day to doing some more cleaning I thought and getting ready for the colder season again.

So as I am waiting for the water to drain from Hot Tub ….I noticed a cluster of beautiful Mushrooms had grown on our front walk way…so delicate and pretty.

IMG_9894

See how only 20 minutes of lighting makes a difference in the picture ….and one hour later they are all drying up and shriveled up looking…..I guess by noon they are gone again…

So two hours have past since I started this post ….and you should see how black the sky is right now…..lol I am getting soaked by rain and hail….

Raindrops

IMG_9701 (3)So you said it is raining again…well yes we have had a fair share of rain this spring and yes summer…Thunderstorms are usually here too.

So the one good thing is the grass …well the weeds are growing like mad.

I always have had a interrest in taking water droplet picture in the hope one day I can see the reflection of me in them …no luck so far. Or I just have not mastered the technic of this yet. I am hopeful one day I get it right.

But here I think these pictures are not to bad….really love the spiderweb and the funny end bloom of the Clematis flower.

… kein Glück so weit. Oder ich habe die Technik noch nicht beherrscht.

Diese Bilder sind aber recht gut  … das Spinnennetz und die  ende Blüte der Clematis Blume gefallen mir besonders gut.IMG_9707
