Forget-Me-Not

Somehow a bird must have drooped this seed in my garden…

One of my favorite flower in the spring. It has a special meaning to me.. in so many ways. My childhood back home in Switzerland and memories of happiness growing up so free and loved. With bunnies in the garden and us playing with the Guinea pigs in the fields that where our pets. How could you not love to grow up with this kind of happiness.

Some may never ever experience this kind of joy. I am so grateful to have had this kind of joy.

My Mom ( Mutt) and Dad (Vat) always loved us no matter what even now my mom is the most amazing lady I know.

Unconditional Love for her kids.. even if we give her up and downs. Kids kind of do that to their parents… we all know that.

But mom, in my case loves all of me… Dad in heaven is always looking out. I know He doesn’t judge me for my up and downs.

“No one can take this happiness ever away!”

Because no matter what, bonds don’t break … ever.

“loved Once in Heaven are always with us …we never forget them and they are always in our hearts.

UNCONDITIONAL LOVE FOREVER

Grenada, I’ll Be back One Day

This last morning at the beach was the perfect ending to this amazing trip…

Had this stray dog pop himself down right by my side as I was reading. I thought this was to funny…

Memories and Joy in my life.

I say Thank You to all that made this trip so special and a joy in my Life .

Do You see what I see?

Beautiful Fall Season

Summer has come and gone again…

Many days during the fall season I have gone for short walks. Well at first I just drove with my truck to wherever it took me. Stopped wherever I felt like it.

Not sure if you ever do that?

But it totally feels good, to just go explore the surrounding places. I have come across so many beautiful spots. It’s mind blowing a little how many times I come across wildlife too. That I would not see otherwise.

Just not to long ago I was able to see a fox just so at peace in my present. I have absolutely never seen anything so beautiful. He never even noticed I was there. You can see this fox in one of my pictures below.

Florida In February

OMG hard to believe we left in this snow/ice storm on February 6th.

Has been already over a month ago that we where in Florida enjoying that sooooo beautiful sunshine every day by +24 to 28 and water at +16 . I was swimming in it every day on and on….just so perfect.

Sunset right by the beach every night…I am still looking for the star in that evening sky every night, my start always full of love and happy moments walking in the water looking for the shells. Even thought I could not bring home some of the coral that washed up on the shore…..nooo noooo you can’t do that!!

My fun moments taking pictures of birds flying by…or posing for me.

Smiles Yes  “I am a bigger kid then You thought I am” …smiles that is me. Always will be that way…That is my Life, my Love, my life of happiness.

More then I am That is me.

Sleeping on the balcony hearing the waves crushing onto the shore.

Seeing the stars and full moon.

Hearing the birds in the morning waking me up….My Dream always.

I’ll never forget that kind of feeling of Peace.

Spring Flowers

IMG_1973Flowers are blooming everywhere now…

So not just animals and bugs are in my backyard…

Pink Peony so beautiful

Enjoying the sunshine too. Beautiful day today ….

Peony is one flower I am happy to have in my garden…

Yes Ants come with this flower…Don’t mind that either…I know they serve a purpose…IMG_1947

Just care less for ant hills in the grass.

Adorable Chipmunks

IMG_0517Sitting in my backyard watching all the chipmunks racing around…

Yes they dug up one of my planter….gurrr….

but then they also eat all the seedlings “Airplanes” as I call them falling from the Maple Trees.

So they kind of help me too.

Black Spanish Turkeys

File 2017-08-24, 8 45 28 AMNever expected this when my husband and I looked at stepping-stones last evening.

Don’t think I ever had turkeys that close to me…smiles.

Black Spanish Turkeys

Love how regal they both held up there heads….look at how amazing there colouring is!

Even had lots of geese waddling around us as we wandered around with the owner looking at stones I thought…!

Now I am interested in these Turkeys telling me how it is living here….hahah…gobble gobble.

Chicken where all in there coop and just out of curiosity (Thought of you Ave)  I ask if he had Silkies or a Giant chicken? But he did not have them anymore.

What an experience to see ….

Antigua Holidays

IMG_2824Spending some time together with my hubby…yehhhh just him and I in the beautiful Island of Antigua. I tell You I was in paradise for sure.

Sooo miss it now…:-)))

The ocean turquoise blue and so clear and warm. The resort “St.James Club and Villas” truly a fantastic place.

Let me tell you the people just sooooo happy all the time…but how could you not living in the sunshine all the time and having the sound of the evening crickets chirp you to sleep. IMG_3859 Once the crickets stop you know it is time to get up!!!….and the birds start to sing….as you hear the surf of the ocean hit the shore and the palm leaves swing in the wind…So Peaceful and relaxing.

We where able to go onto two snorkeling trips. One with a catamaran along the Caribbean side of the Ocean that we booked and one right from our resort.  Guess what, that trip we won at Monday nights mangers party …luck us the ocean was calm on the second last day of our holidays.

IMG_3811Conch shells where lots to be found…smiles without the conch in it and to get the pink colour one had to find the one that was still housing the conch in it…and hubby dove down to the ocean floor several times to find some for us….We had seen a stingray and several schools of beautiful fishes even two big barracuda where close to us too…..

I think the pictures will tell you a story all on its own.

I sure can tell you I really miss that part of our world…and I am happy to say all that rain has finally stopped that we have been getting since we came back …..so I can be outside again enjoying my gardening now all is green… (cry not ocean blue….)

Memories are beautiful to have too….one day we will be back.

Squirrel – Winter Fun

img_9085A week ago we had the second snowfall of this winter-season. Perfect time to get my camera outside to see what we can capture.

Smile I thought it will just be snow, berries, branches, bushes and lanterns covered in snow. Well look again….

A Squirrel was busy munching on some berries. So cool how it hangs in the tree.

Me, still trying to figure out my camera and all the bells and whistles it has. Decided to set it at “Manual” setting this time and learn how to get the correct setting for what I want to see. Yes I know some could be better but good for now.img_9087-2

Doch schau her ….ein Eichhörnchen!

Do You See What I See

img_7816A hike through the forest…

So peaceful this is!img_7723

You should see the rocks and the crevasses, many covered with all kinds of moss.  Just love all the little things I see when taking time to look. Perfect moment.

Eine Waderung durch den Wald …

img_7812

Perfekter Moment.

Rattlesnake Point

img_7784

I was taken back by all big crevasses in this Forest.

Rattlesnake Point by Milton, Ontario.

part of the trail was also on  The Bruce Trail..

Amazing my hubby walked all of the Bruce Trail in the past two years and this in all kinds of weather…Congratulatons to him and his buddies. What a accomplishment!

img_7639

As whe had lunch we had a visit by this Garter Snake

What a perfect place for a Sunday hike with my hubby.I was able to take my camera along and WOW I have to say my hubby truly has to slow his walking pace down with me.  Just like to see things from a different view. Close up mostly I have to admit. See my next post coming soon…

It reminded me a bit of some places back home. I think I remember somewhere in the “D’Hölli” ? Some of you back home perhaps you can help me out on this one. But I remember someplace like this in one of the Forest by Möhlin, Switzerland.

Hamster Fun

file-2016-09-12-9-12-53-pm
Same 7 hamsters at 3 weeks old…Unbelivable how fast they grow.

I never thought we are breeding hamsters …but this is what it looks like now.

They are soooo adorable and wow do they grow up fast.

file-2016-09-12-9-12-04-pm
Same 7 baby Hamsters only two-day old

Pink they are! Only a fingernail size at birth…then at 3-4 weeks they are ready to move on.

Well let me tell you it is better you move them on to a new home at 3-4 weeks. Especially if you have 7 or more in a cage that is two cages  attached and in a bedroom. They are very busy. They may sleep but as soon as they sence  they are awake and get active and busy climbing the cage. All I say lots of fun but keep them clean.  My daughters hamster had already her 3rd sets. 4 babies at first, then 6, at her last birth she had 7. Kind of hope hamster mom can rest for a little now.

Our Backyard Life

IMG_7524With this summer so gorgeous we have had all kind of visitors in our backyard. Here are some of our regulars that stop by. A Cardinal and a red & black Squirl, numerous amounts of chipmunks and rabits. I thought I have seen it all..but get this!2013-07-31 15.23.45 In the past month we had a groundhog on the deck. Four raccoons in the trees and yes a skunk just wondering up the driveway and on another evening just wondering though the lawn as I and hubby sat quietly enjoying a summer evening together on the deck.IMG_7528

Rheinfelden, Switzerland

2016-04-20 11.12.42Rheinfelden is a town next to my hometown Möhlin only about a 10 minute  drive away from us. Love visiting it every time I come home. For many reasons…Has my favourite yarn store “Strickeria Gomitolo” there.  Rheinfelden has a really nice “Altstadt” all  in cobblestone and only foot traffic. Sooo very pretty you have to walk the side paths on your next visit  too!  See one of my older posts. Rheinfelden is surrounded by a huge stone wall from the old times 2016-04-20 12.12.07

From the Swiss Rheinfelden you can cross the bridge by foot to the German Rheinfelden too. And on the way there have a walk on our famous “Inseli”2016-04-24 16.27.00-1 You can see the “Schwarzwald” (Blackforest )  from there too.  It is home to Feldschlösschen, the most popular beer in Switzerland. Oh and did I tell you about the little Goats they have just outside the city walls…sooo cute.  I am in love with the animals…
