Yes you are probably asking yourself

What is she doing now…wandering from the yarns….????

I CAN TELL YOU 

THAT 

WILL NEVER HAPPEN!!!

I love my knitting and will always enjoy creating handknit items. Though since I now work in a Quilt and Yarn Store the ladies there are trying to convert me to patchwork and quilting…

So I thought I will give it a try.

So you may see in the future not just posting knitted items but also me working with…. yes amazing fabric…

I kind of like the flannel, I guess it is because it feels so snugly warm like this first “Rag Quilt”

I sewed up in about two days.

And….Yes I did ask lots of question at work ” THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP”

Smile, my Co-Workers in the Quilt and Yarn section are amazing,

giving me a place to be and have my daily fun.

Was geht sie jetzt weg von dem Stricken….??

Ich kann ehrlich  sagen

DASS

Wird nie passieren!

Ich liebe mein Strickarbeit und werde immer freude dabei haben.

Doch seit ich jetzt in einem Patchwork/Stoff  und Wolle Geschäft arbeit versuchen die Damen im Stoff Teil, mich zum Patchwork und Quilten zu verführen …

So dachte ich es liegt ja nichts dabei es zu versuchen.

So wird es dazu kommen dass in der Zukunft acuh Du etwas davon zu sehen bekommst.

… irgendwie mag ich den Flanell Ich denke, es ist, weil es so kuschelig warm ist und wir in den Winter gehen. So hier ist mein erster “Rag Quilt” der innert zwei Tagen fertig war.

Ja, mit viele Fragen im Geschäft …. Lächeln …alle sind sehr hilfsbereit bei der Arbeit …. DANKE EUCH DAFÜR

  1. That’s my yearly community stable I do with my 4H girls. We make about 30 of ’em each winter and spring to residents of a local hospice. Boy, do they look forward to our quilts, every time. The kids get to talk to the recipients and that made everyone smile. I love your color choices. Fabulous. And by the way, I know you weren’t giving up knitting lol

    1. What a lovely gesture to make so many nice and warm quilts for the local Hospice. I am sure they love them all. You and the 4H girls (ps what does ” 4H” stand for) can be very proud of them self

      1. Yes, the residents do look forward to them each time. And we love making them. 4H is like girl and boy scouts in America…except it is co-ed. We focus strongly on outdoor connection and serving the community. Local charters here is partly funded and supported by the university.

    nun bist Du auch noch ein Quilter.
    Glückwunsch zu Deinem ersten Quilt.
    Das Nähen macht Dir ebenso Freude wie das Stricken. Mir auch!
    Du weisst ja, ich nähe auch Quilts, und nicht erst seit der Arbeit im Quilt-Shop.
    Da Du nun angesteckt wurdest von den Kolleginnen, mit dem Quilt-Virus, wird hier sicher bald der zweite Quilt zu sehen sein.

    1. Salue Angelika…ja der erste Quilt ist ja auch recht einfach zum naehen. Der zweite ist auch tatsaechlich schon bald fertig…doch dann wir es etwas laenger brauchen da meine liebe zum stricken halt doch staerker ist und die strick arbeit kann ich ueberal mit nehmen…hoffe alles geht gut bei Dir und bist auch recht Muter und Gesund…Gruessli von Kanada

    1. HI Sandy..well just learning this quilting stuff…smile. At work they like me to buy a new sewing machine…so I settle for fabric and yarn at the moment. With the quilting they are showing me how it is done…some sewing I know from way back in school …so lots to learn now…

      You should see the new prints we just receive yesterday at the store! I am so tempted to make another one…all in winter prints…next to all the yarns too…oh what do we do now

    1. Thank You Michelle…i am very happy how it turned out too…we just received new winter prints in theflannel in to the store yesterday. I have my eyes on some of the new prints already…
