Placemats for Valentine’s Day

Oh if you have followed my blog you know I love this pattern for my placemats. They just work perfect for our kitchen Island…..and some Swiss “Schoggi” Chocolate!!!

I tell you it is hard to see all this gorgeous fabric come into The Quilt Store where I work.

I do love putting the ohh so many colour combos for the quilts or other projects together…. For myself I tend to work on smaller projects at this time. Really love the modern feel of some quilts we are getting in too.

Hope I can work on a table runner that I really want to piece together soon too. But have to finish a view knitting projects first too.

Tischsets zum Valentinstag

Na ja wenn Du mein Blog liest, dann weisst Du sicher das ich dieses Muster für meine Tischsets immer wieder brauche. Pass immer perfect in meine Küche!

Doch muss ich mich immer zusammen nehmen damit ich nicht zu viel Stoff ein kaufe bei dem Geschäft wo ich arbeite “The Quilts Shop”. Na ja ich bevorzuge aber immer noch das Stricken!

Doch habe ich auch Spass mit den Farbkombinationen für Steppdecken zusammen zu stellen. Doch für mich selber passt es mir besser kurze Näharbeiten zusammen zu nähen.

Wenn ich dann hoffentlich bald etwas mehr Zeit habe wird es dann einmal einen Tischläufer sein.

Bear Cuddle-Iciuos Wrap

Bear Cuddle-Iciuos Wrap is a amazingly big and bulky wrap. Winter-chill today I can honestly say! Today is the day to wear my wrap at a bitter cold -29 degrees weather and windchill. Burr… is what I say.

When I knit this wrap with only 2 skeins of Borgo de’ Pazzi Firenze© Naturalia. In a natural colour with ohhh yes! 20mm needle thicker then my thumb smiles the yarn felt soooo cozy and warm. I have to confess I may even make myself a blanket in this yarn. It really warms you up.

Well I decided to knit a second one, with my own “Knitswissyarns” I had bought several hanks of a really chunky undyed SW Merino weight yarn and some dye and off I went with my creative hand. Then the wait till it was dry. Knitting this one was just as nice as the first one. Now a very kind lady and her daughter can enjoy wearing it and keeping them warm too. Enjoy.

“Bear Kuschel-Iciuos Wrap”

ist ein erstaunlich groß und dicker Wrap. Mit der Heutigen Winter-Kälte kann ich ehrlich sagen “Heute ist der Tag, für so ein kuschelig warmen grossen Wrap su tragen – bitterkälte von -29 Grad. Burr … ist, was ich sage.

Echt toll war es diesen Wrap mit nur 2 Strängen “Borgo de ‘Pazzi Florenz © Naturalia.” In nature Fabe mit ohhh ja! Nadel dicke von 20mm also mein Daumen ist dünner als die Stricknadel…Lach. Das Garn fühlte sich soooo weich, warm und kuschelig an. Ich muss gestehen, wenn die Wolle nicht verkauft wird werde ich sogar selbst eine Decke in diesem Garn stricken. Es ist wirklich sehr schoen warm.

Nun, ich beschlossen, eine zweiten Wrap zu stricken, mit meinem eigenen “Knitswissyarns” . Ich kauft etliche Strängen von “Super Bulky” ungefärbter SW Merino und etliche Dosen Farbstoff und los ging’s ich mit meiner kreativen Seite. Dann das Warten, bis es trocken war. Stricken war genauso schön wie der Erste. Nun eine sehr nette Dame und ihre Tochter genießen die wärmen auch von diesem Wrap.

Eine Handarbeits Messe stand vor der Tür und wir hatten dieses tolle Garn gerade in Gescheschäft wo ich arbeite bekommen.

Die Einkaufszentre bei uns sind alle voll mit glitzerden Kleidungsstücke für diese Wintersaison.

Also warum nicht!

Los gehts mit stricken auch bei mir ist es glitzerlig in der Wolle…..

First our Boss “Madi” was knitting this amazing bag …and believe me she likes to knit and quilt!

just the past weekend. It was a project that was just calling for her.

Silky Mohair Blanket Shawl….

So delicate light and what a dream to wear…never mind about the knitting. You will not believe how nice and light this big comfy blanket shawl is. The yarn is like you want to be a kitten purring in the ..softness of this yarn. I would for sure not have this out on the comfy couch as my cat would sooo love to cuddle in this blanket…smile.

Yes I know enough of this …. I will tell you the yarn is called Artyarns Silk Mohair and we used a total of 10 different colours and needle number 5mm to knit this one for the store….if you have a chance to stop in you have to feel it ..better yet try it on and see how nice it will make you feel…

So luftig und weich ist dieser “Silky Mohair Schal” …was für ein Traum den tragen zu dürfen. Du wirst nicht glauben, wie schön und leicht dieser große Schal ist. Wenn Du dieser Schal strickst, kommts Du dir vor alls wenn Du eine Katze bist dir gerne die Pfoten in den Kneuel massagen tut. Ich würde sicher unsere Katze darin sehen …smile

Flower Power Cowl

Have a look at this….

The small flowers are already woven into this yarn…how sweet is that. I blended this one skein of “Manos Artesanas Dancing” with one skein of Manos del Uruguay Wool Clasica , about 138 yards or 126 meters all though out the cowl and look how perfect this will be in the cold blah winter month….

I know I know we do not want to talk about that time yet…but it is just around the corner and we need to keep our necks warm right?!!! so off you go let start this knitting…

I you like this pattern I have it written up for you just let me know. Then you only need to get the yarn that we have at “The Yarn Store”

Die kleinen Blumen, sind schon so in diesem Garn eingesponnen… wie süß ist dass.

I strickte so ein Knäuel von “Manos Artesanas Dancing” mit einem Knäuel von Manos del Uruguay Wool Clasica, etwa 126 Meter abwechseld zusammen. Nicht schlecht für den kommenden kalten trüben Winter….

Ich weiß, Ich weiß, wir wollen nicht über diese Zeit schon plaudern… obwohl es schon gleich um die Ecke sein kann. So soll es los gehen mit dem Stricken damit wir uns dan auch warm halten können mit dieser Pracht.
