Modern Placemats

So it is not surprising that I love this look in  placemats.

I had worked up a Table Runner two weeks ago called “River Stones” and had some sewn fabric section left from this Table runner.

The pattern indicating it would be for a Runner and a pillow. Beautiful, but I really did not need another pillow in my home.

 

 

 

So you can see I added some more strips to the already sewn pieces and divided the length into two sections that now are the perfect size for two placemats. If I would make this pattern for placemats only, I would make the two section ONE!File 2018-01-18, 3 05 58 PM

…but for now I am ok as is as sections where sewn already and I had only very little fabric left.

Really love this look, very modern and fun.

And as You can see I have added my next project on the knitting needles too…SOCKS!

I am working them with new needles…more in my next post…..see you soon again :-)

 

Monkey Socks

So I really have to knit myself a pair of Socks. I found the pattern from http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEwinter06/PATTmonkey.html  called “Monkey Socks”.   They are always so  warm and toasty to wear.  So just a picture of the beginning I hope tomorrow or on Friday I can show you the finished Pair.  Have a look then….bye for now.

 

 

So jetzt muss ich doch  auch wieder einmal ein paar Socken Stricken dachte ich.  Ich habe das Muster von  http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEwinter06/PATTmonkey.html gefunden.  Es ist auf English doch kannst Du veruchen es auf Deutsch zu uebersetzen via Google Translater oder ich kann Dir auch helfen dabei.  Schreib mir nur zurueck wenn Du hilfe brauchst,  kein Problem zu helfen.   Die sind ja immer am waemsten so selber gestrickte Socken.  Hier nur schnell der Anfang.  Mall sehen ob die Morgen oder Freitag fertig sind um Euch zu zeigen.  So schau herein….Tschau fuer jetzt.

Spa Socks as requested also known as Pedicure socks

Well here it is for those  of you that regularly go to the Spa for a pedicure and like to keep their feet toasty………………look no more or should I say don’t cut your socks up for your toes to show and you to be warm.  I have the perfect cure….these socks are knit in about two to three days.  Depends on my time and yarn I use.   This is a great solution and you do not have to take the scissors to your socks.
