Super soft is this scarf. Had this project traveling along in my truck for the past year or so. Just in case I went somewhere and I forgot to take my knitting along..smiles. One never knows when a UFO is coming in handy to have.

This pattern is called Churros by Lisa R. Myers. Available to download on Raverly too. Super easy and fun to especial with this soft yarn Manos del Uruguay Fino. I love knitting with any yarn they carry. For this pattern I only needed 2 skeins, one of each colour.

Happy to have this scarf finished now. A well worth brioche pattern to knit up for your next project too.

Super weich ist dieser Schal. Hatte dieses Projekt in meinem Auto für sicher ein Jahr oder so. Nur für den Fall wenn ich irgendwo war und ich meine “Strickete” vergaß mit zu bringen. Lach man weiß ja nie, wann ein UFO gut zuhanden kommt.

A great project that I found in the new Noro Crochet Book.

The scarf was designed by Mary Jane Hall.

Pattern is well written out and only over 4 rows and then you repeat the rows till you are finished…

I only used two skeins of Noro Silk Garden Lite about 272.0 yards (248.7m) and a hook 4mm or (G)

Der Schal wurde von Mary Jane Halle entworfen. Das Muster ist gut geschrieben und nur über 4 Reihen und dann wiederholst Du die Zeilen, bis der Schal fertig ist …

Ich habe nur zwei Stränge von Noro Silk Garden Lite etwa 248.7Meter und einem Häkel nummer 4mm oder (G) gebraucht.

Luxury Crochet Scarf

With only 2 skeins of this “Noro Taiyo Sock” yarn….about 924 yarns or 845 meters that gave e a nice comfortable length…I use a 4mm hook size but one could use a bigger hook too and the end result would be much lighter and looser in the chain….fun too…never not try new thing. Be unique and have fun playing with your needle or hook size…you never know what will happen …amazing results I promise You.

I enjoy knitting or crocheting with all NORO YARNS….just so much fun the colours just come together in sooo many fun ways…never the same …you always will have a one of a kind creation…every time…so let start with this one…

Wunderbarer Gehäkelter Schal

Mit nur 2 Stränge von “Noro Taiyo Sock” etwa 845 Meter Luaflänge. Ich benutze eine 4mm Hakelgröße aber man könnte einen größeres Häkel auch dazu benützen und das Endergebnis würde viel leichter und lockerer in der Masche sein … Spaß sollte man ja auch haben dabei und immer lust auf etwas Neues zu haben… Tolle Muster können da entstehen.

Schau nur die Farben an so Spielend ….gar nicht langweilig zum Stricken. Jeder Schal gestrickt mit Noro ist ein einzig artiges Werk.

Flutter Scarf in Purple

So I promised you all a slightly less frilled look of a scarf…the the “Frill Seeker Scarf”. But this one is my prefered scarf style. This pattern has been designed by Miriam L Felton and you can download it on ravelry under “Flutter Scarf”….sorry but there is a fee for this one.

The yarn is called “Malabrigo Yarn Lace” one skein = 470 yards (429.8m) in the colour Cuzaro 97 knit with needle size US 3 – 3.25 mm. This is also a store Sample for Unwind Yarn House.

The scarf is knit from the centre outwards so you need to cast on with a provisional cast on and the work to the ruffled edge and cast off. Then picking up the stitched again at the provisional cast on edge and knit the second half. I did find that I had a little bit of an issue as I did have the correct stitch amount but the pattern just would not line up correctly with the first side. So I improvised and voila no one would know or see it if I would not have mentioned it. But thought I give you this info just incase I am not the only one with this Issue. (The colour in the pictures of the finished scarf is the correct one….. Purple.)

Wie versprochen hier ist der Schal den ich mit etwas weniger Frills als der “Frill Seeker Schal”gestrickt habe. Mein bevorzugter Schal Style. Dieses Muster is von Miriam L Felton auch bei Ravelry herunter zu laden unter “Flutter Scarf”…sorry doch das Muster ist nicht Gratis.

Die Wolle is “Malabrigo Yarn Lace” mit einer Strange =429.8m Lauflänge in der Farbe Cuzaro 97 und mit Nadel Nummer 3.25mm gestrickt. Auch wieder ein Muster Schal für das Unwind Yarn House.

Dieser Schal wird von der Mitte aus gestrickt. Mit einem Provisional Anschlag strickt man bis zu dem Ende zu den Frills. Maschen abketten. Dann die Maschen bei dem Provisional Anschlag auf die Nadel legen und das zweite Teil fertig stricken. Muss aber sagen, ich hatte genau die richtigen Maschen Zahl, doch stimmte da irgend etwas nicht mit dem Muster. Es lag einfach nicht geanu über das Muster von ersten Teil…so improvisierte ich etwas und voila alles geht gut und schaut auch gut aus…niemand würde es sehn oder merken wenn ich nicht davon geschrieben hätte…doch dachte ich es soll auch hier herein im Fall wenn sonst jemand auch Probleme hat dabei….so bin ich vielleicht nicht die einzige. ( Die Farbe bei den fertig gestrickten Schal is die Richtige…Violet)

Frills,Frills And More Frills

Look at this fun scarf…..how much frill can a girls or woman have these days???

One never knows…some like more and some like less. I liked knitting this scarf a lot and it was very simple too. But I would say I am in one of the woman that like a little less of the puffy frills than this scarf has. I will show you that in another Blog-Post soon too.

Never the less I am having some fun wearing the bright burnt orange / black / purple one. The other two scarfs will be a gift for someone soon…

This Yarn is from Estelle Designs called “Frill Seeker”. I cast on with needle size 5mm 11 stitches for the one, then 12 stitches and the last one 13 stitches they are therefore longer or shorter aswell as wider or narrower. Used one skein all to the end.

Schaut die vielen Frills an…..wieviel kann ein Mädchen oder Frau gebrauchen davon???

Jemand liebt viel und jemand anders liebt weninger davon. Gefallen hat es mir schon diesen Schal zu stricken. Einmal etwas anderes. Doch muss ich sagen ich gehöre zu denen die etwas weniger davon auch schön finden oder auf eine andere Weise die Frills gestrickt werdent. Doch das zeige ich bald in einem andern Eintragung.

Werde aber trotzde fun haben und den orange – schwarzen – violetten Schal gerne hier und da tragen. Die anderen Zwei werden dann ein Geschenk sein.

Die Wolle die ich dafür benutzte ist von Estelle Designs genannt “Frill Seeker”. Mit Nadel Nummer 5mm habe ich dann einmal 11Maschen, 12 Maschen oder 13 Maschen angeschlagen. Dafür wurde jeder Schal länger oder kürzer, sowie breiter oder schmäler. Brauchte dazu nur eine strange Wolle.

Cerus Scarf

So I just had to knit this one scarf for my husband too. This one is not so thick and looks like it has been woven rather then knit… I like it too, the look is more like an executive scarf under a business coat. Like one you would buy in a store. Still soft and I hope it will keep him warm to on the drive to work…This scarf too is from the www.raverly.com site available for download by Hilary Smith Callis. For this one I used a yarn called “Sweetgeorgia” Hand Painted Yarns.

The callculations and gauge would be: 28sts will give me 4inches on a 3.5mm needle…so I am cast 355stitches on… using one skein and the finished measurements are 52inches (122cm)long and 6.5 inches (16cm) wide. This is a fun pattern…
I love the colours in this scarf and how they flow into each other. I hope it will get lots of wear and will kepp him warm too…

So ein zweiter Schal für meinen Mann. Dieser schal ist nicht so dick und sieht aus wie gewoben, anstatt gestrickt … Passed gut unter einem Business-Mantel. Wie von einem Geschäft kaufen, doch weich und ich hoffe, es hält ihn warm auf der Fahrt zur Arbeit … Dieser Schal ist auch von der Website www.raverly.com zur Verfügung von Hilary Smith Callis. Für diesen Schal habe ich ein Garn “Sweetgeorgia” handbemalt Garne benutzt.

Die Massen dazu habe ich so bestimmt: 28 Maschen gibt mir 10 cm mit einer 3,5 mm Nadel … so habe ich 355 Maschen aufgefasst. Eine Strang Wolle und das fertige Mass ist 122 cm lang und 16 cm breit. Ein interresantes Muster …
Mir gefallen die Farben in dieser Schal und wie sie ineinander fließen.

Black Lace Shawl

How wonderful and light draping this shawl is once again. the pattern is the “198 Yards of Heaven” on Ravelry

I did knit this one in 100% Pima Cotton Flame

from Americo Original . One day I do have to go visit that store in Toronto. Wonderful yarns they have. This shawl will be nice to have on hand if I need one for an evening out this winter.

So wunderschön und leicht ist dieser Schal wieder geworden. Das Muster ist das “198 Yars of Heaven” bei Ravelry

Dises mal habe ich 100% Pima Baumwolle Flamme von Americo Original gebraucht. Sicher werde ich froh sein dieser Schal im Kasten zu habe wenn wir an einem schönen Abend in Ausgang gehen werden.

Immer schön so ein Schal über ein rassiges Kleid zu targen.

Knitted Waves Scarf With Beads

“Susan Undulating Waves Scarf” for Unwind Yarn House sample

Is a pattern that you can find on Ravely. A fun knit including lots of Beads. The pattern asks for 924 size 6mm beads however ….I needed almost double that. Each pattern repeats needs 33 beads from row 1-10. With using 2 skeins of Koigu Merino yarn I was able to knit almost 48 repeats. That would give me a total of 1548 Beads. This scarf is heavier no doubt but stunning to be able to wear it in so many ways measuring about 52 inches long This is your jewel to wear any time. I was able to string on the beads with a sewing needle but you could use smaller size beads too and use a fish wire to string the beads on to lace weight yarn and adjust the with of the scarf too. I added all or at least half of the beads onto the yarn before I started to knit and then moved them along as I knit this scarf. Wellen Schal“für Unwind Yarn House example

Ist ein Muster das man bei Ravelry finden kann. Ein schönes Muster das mit Beads gestricket wird. Das Muster fragt nach 924 Beads in Grösse 6mm doch…..Ich brauchte fast das Doppelte. Jedes Muster braucht 33 Beads von Reihe 1 bis 10. Mit zwei Strangen Koigu Merino Wolle war es möglich bis 48 mall das Muster zu stricken. Dabei brauchte ich aber 1548 Beads. Dieser Schal ist ganz sicher etwas schwerer zum tragen bei fast 130cm Länge und all den Beads, doch ist das der Schmuck für die Trägerin. Ich benutzte eine Nähnadel für die Beads auf zu fassen. Doch kann man auch Fisch Nilon gebrauchen und kleinere Beads und feinere Wolle und der Schal etwas Breiter stricken. 198 Yards of Lace Heaven

This gorgeous Shawlette was knit up in one week for Wendy. She is the store owner of Unwind Yarn House in Newmarket a localYarn store. At her store she has many lovely yarns to knit many kinds of projects for whatever your heart desires. Wendy ask if I would be interested to knit a few items for her to display it in her store. As you all know my passion is to knit and help, I am very excited to be able to help her.

198 yds. Of Heaven is a neckerchief style scarf, sometimes referred to as a shawlette, and is designed to be knit in a small amount of luxury Aran, or worsted yarn.

The Shawlette was knit with one skein of Noro Yarn “Sekku” a blend of Cotton, Wool, Nylon and Silk. I use needle size 2.5mm. Washed and stretched …ready just for this coming spring.

I am already starting one for my own in a turquoise, blue, red multi color tone with the same yarn. Another one is on my needle and almost finished with the Arucania Yarn “Ruca Multy”. This pattern is available on Ravelry.

Diesen wunderschön Schal war innert einer Woche fertig gestrickt für Wendy. Sie hat ein Wollen Geschäft in Newmarket mit vielen wunderschöner Wolle und Garne. Sie hatte mich dann auch vor kurzem gefragt ob ich interrese hätte einiges für Sie zu Stricken für in den Laden. Wie Ihr alle wisst ist das Stricken meine Leidenschaft sowie andern zu Helfen damit.

198 yard im Himmel ist ein Dreieck Schal. Man braucht sehr wenig luxuriöses Garn dafür.

Ich benutzte Noro Yarn “ Sekku” eine Mischung von Baumwolle, Wolle, Nylon und Seide. Mit Nadel Nummer 2.5mm, eine Strange Wolle ist genug für diese Grösse.

Mein zweiter Schal habe ich mit der Wolle Arucania “Ruca Multy” schon bald fertig. Das Muster könnt Ihr bei Ravelry herunter laden.

Entrelac Scarf

This is such a fun and wonderful scarf to knit. When you knit with Noro Yarns or any Hand died Yarns where the color is changing as you go along the thread of Yarn. Then… you add-on the ever turning of the needle to make this amazing pattern. You could say the color pattern moves your scarf. Pink to purple to blue. Yellow to orange to brown. Whatever the color tone you like…..fun fun fun. Always full of new surprises.

Let’s make one in a solid color for a shrug…just as beautiful and breath-taking as the ever-changing color patterns are.

Dies ist so ein Spaß und wundervoller Schal zu stricken. Wenn Du mit Noro Garne oder handgefärbten Garne strickst wo die Farbe sich immer ändern, zum Vorschein kommt dieser wunderschöne Schal. Man könnte sagen, die Farbe Muster bewegen diesen Schal. Rosa zu Violett zu Blau. Gelb zu Orange zu Braun. Was auch immer die Farbtone sind ….. fun fun fun. Immer eine neue Überraschungen.

Auch in einer einfarbigen Farbe für ein Schulterschal … genauso schön und atemberaubend wie die ständige wechselnden Farbmuster.

Just a few of my “Clapotis” Scarfs to Show

“Clapotis Scarf”

This particular scarf pattern has really grabbed my interested to knit several of them. It is so much fun to knit with all the fun Yarns. Fleece Artist, Hand Dyed Yarns and some variegated Yarns can make a unique one of a kind pattern. http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEfall04/PATTclapotis.html

You decrease on one side and increase on the other side of the Scarf. As you knit along you drop stitches in the appropriate places and the fun begins. One always gets this great surprise in how different each scarf looks at the end. I have not knit one that turned out the same. For fun I have added some Seedbeads to the ends that the stitch gets dropped down. looks nice too. You can add as many repeats of the pattern to make it the width you like. I am tempted to knit a blanket in this pattern with some of my stashed wool. I will see how my free time will be over this winter.
