Gstaader Bolero

Fluffy you could say for sure, kind of feels like I am holding a bunny rabbit in my hand when I was knitting this Gstaader Bolero. Super soft and squishy. I enjoyed knitting with this yarn “Phildar Kid Mohair No4”, though I know it is discontinued but still loved it.

This Gstaader Bolero can be knit up with some other yarns too for sure. No limitations here. Depends on the yarn you use wear it in the coming winter over a party dress in the Alps. Spring into the summer yarns with cotton, bamboo….or on your next Cruise Ship vaccation.

Flauschig ist das sicher schon. Fühlt sich an als hätte ich ein Kaninchen in der Hand, als ich diesen Gstaader Bolero strickte. Super weich und squishy. Ich genoss das Stricken mit diesem Garn “Phildar Kid Mohair No4” obwohl, ich weiß es ist nicht mehr im Verkauf.

Dieser Gstaader Bolero kann auch mit anderen Garnen gestrickt werden. Keine Einschränkungen hier. Kommt halt ganz auf Dich an wann Du das Bolero tragen wilst…

Ob im kommenden Winter über ein Partykleid in den Alpen oder Frühling mit den Sommer Garne mit Baumwolle, Bambus …. auf dem Mehr an einer Cruise Ship Holiday.

Cropped Mohair Cardigan

You know knitting with Mohair is not so bad. It is one of my favourite yarns to work with. Though I have to say I usually knit lose fitting cardigans with Mohair as I don’t want it to be a fitted item due to the mohair fibres easily matting up in that case.
So have a look at this cardigan. It really was fun and super easy to knit.
This particular Mohair I received as a Gift from Linda H. a fun lady that is sewing for the “Southlake Sewing Group” at my work with at least 20 other ladies. This Group gets together and sews up blankets, pillowcases and so much more for Southlake Hospital. Way to go ladies.

Kurtzes Mohair Cardigan

Es ist eigentlich ganz einfach mit Mohair zu Stricken und nicht so schlimm wie viele Denken. Eine meiner Lieblings-Garne zum Stricken. Obwohl ich in der Regel nur lose Strickjacken mit Mohair stricke. Die Mohair Fasern verfiltzen doch schon etwas wenn es gerieben wird.
Schau Dir diese Strickjacke hier an eine sehr einfach und leicht schwingende Jacke. Es war wirklich super einfach zum Stricken.

Diese besondere Mohair erhielt ich als ein Geschenk von Linda H. Eine Sehr nette Frau, die für die “Southlake Sewing Group” bei meiner Arbeit jede 2 Woche zusammen mit etwas 20 Frauen nähen kommen. Sie näht Decken, Kissenbezüge und vieles mehr für das Southlake Hospital.

Silky Mohair Blanket Shawl….

So delicate light and what a dream to wear…never mind about the knitting. You will not believe how nice and light this big comfy blanket shawl is. The yarn is like you want to be a kitten purring in the ..softness of this yarn. I would for sure not have this out on the comfy couch as my cat would sooo love to cuddle in this blanket…smile.

Yes I know enough of this …. I will tell you the yarn is called Artyarns Silk Mohair and we used a total of 10 different colours and needle number 5mm to knit this one for the store….if you have a chance to stop in you have to feel it ..better yet try it on and see how nice it will make you feel…

Silky Mohair Blanket Shawl

So luftig und weich ist dieser “Silky Mohair Schal” …was für ein Traum den tragen zu dürfen. Du wirst nicht glauben, wie schön und leicht dieser große Schal ist. Wenn Du dieser Schal strickst, kommts Du dir vor alls wenn Du eine Katze bist dir gerne die Pfoten in den Kneuel massagen tut. Ich würde sicher unsere Katze darin sehen …smile

ok ganug damit …. das Garn das wir dau benutzen ist “Artyarns Silk Mohair” und wir haben insgesamt 10 verschiede Farben verstricket und Nadel Nummer 5mm gebraucht.

Bessie May Grace Over Top

Look at this amazing colour…

I could not get over this once I received the package from the Bessie May Boutique in UK that you can find under: http://www.bessiemay.com

I am sure you all can see that this is one of my colour I like!!!

Well colour is one thing but you have to see and feel that yarn! For this top we used 2 skeins of “Smile Thea-Bea” about 240 meters in colour “Fair” it is a 100%Extra Fine Merino Wool.

I knit this together with 6 skeins of “Grace Lishie-Lou” oh about 1170 meters in Red that one is a 70% Super Kid-Mohair – 30 % Silk.

All knit with 6mm needles…

I Love My Amiga

What a fun knit this cardigan is…Amiga by Mags Kandis.

I have knit this one several times already and each time I fall in love with it again. This pattern is great for so many yarns…here I have knit it with Louet “KidLin Lace Weight” …I have equal fallen in love with this yarn …yes mohair and linen…what a blend.

The Linen gives this mohair the needed support in holding the stitch nice and together…I find the stitches are so much nicer then just mohair…more regural and as I would say not all over the place…smile.

Only 3 skeins and 4,5mm needles is all you need about 750 yarns or 700 meters. I went with a nice deep green called “Colorado Spruce…so cozy on a cooler evening sitting outside.

Es mach so richtig Spaß diese Strickjacke zu stricken...Amiga von Mags Kandis.

Ich habe dies schon mehrmals gestrickt und jedes Mal verliebe ich mich erneut. Dieses Muster eignet sich hervorragend für so viele Garne und Wolle. Hier habe ich es mit Louet “KidLin Lace Weight ” gestrickt … ja Mohair und Leinen … was für eine schöne Mischung.

Die Linen verleiht dem Mohair die erforderliche Unterstützung in der Masche sie hält schön zusammen ….

Nur 3 Stränge und 4,5 mm Nadeln brauchts Du dazu, so etwa 700 Meter in Wolle. Ich ging mit einem schönen tiefgrünen “Colodaro Spruce” … So gemütlich und warm ist diese Jacke wenn ich an einem kühleren Abend draußen auf dem Sitzplatz sitze….

Look at this colour, Orange Berry.

You should be able to feel this yarn from Louet called “KidLin Lace Weight”. It is a blend of Mohair and Linen and so soft.

With only 3 skeins about 750 yard or 700 meters you could knit this pattern called “Amiga” by Mags Kandis up. This is a pattern I have used many times before with a variety of yarns

A very fast top down knit with needle size 4.5mm it will give this cardi a nice, light and airy feel.

One could see it knit up at Unwind Yarn House where you also could purchase this yarn.

Schauen Dir diese Farbe an, Orange Berry.

Schön währe es wenn Du in der Lage sein könntest, dieses Garn von Louet “KidLin Lace Gewicht” zu fühlen.

Es ist eine Mischung aus Mohair und Leinen und so weich. Mit nur 3 Stränge ca. 700 Meter könntes Du dieses Muster namens “Amiga” von Mags Kandis auch strickten.

Ein sehr schneller von Oben nach Unten mit Nadelstärke 4,5 mm gestrickt verleit es diesem Cardi eine schöne, helle und luftige Atmosphäre. Dieses Muster habe ich schon ein paar mals gestrickt mit einigen verschienden Garnen.

Dieses Cardi is bei “Unwind Yarn House” zu sehen, wo Ihr auch die Wolle kaufen könnte.

Purple Jacket / Cardigan

Purple Jacket / Cardigan

This is a great

to wear for the upcoming cooler days. Can be worn over a Tank-Top half buttoned up or just leave it open. Another option would be to button it up all the way.

I have knit it with a yarn that has Mohair in it and for some this particular yarn may be too itchy to wear with no Top underneath.

Any other type of yarn can be use to knit this cardigan, as long as you make sure the gauges are correct.
