So yes I know…. I am in love with the Amiga Cardigan Pattern.

I believe my co-workers would agree with this …smile, perhaps even some customers. I have knit this pattern up several time already and used all kinds of yarns for it.

I know I keep on going back to this cardigan and that is ok. This cardigan is truly one of my favourites designed by Mags Kandis. Please come visit back in about one to two weeks to see this cardigan all knit up….I can’t wait to show you!

Lucky me I work in a Yarn and Quilt Store and we just received this new Noro yarn called ” Kibou” ( A blend of: 54% cotton, 34% Wool, 12% silk) absolutely love it and the colours are amazing….this Yarn is still striping depends on your pattern and absolutely amazing for the Entrelac patterns too. But slightly more subtle due to the single ply yarns dyed before spinning them together….from what I can see. Just stunning in the way it knits up…but have a look for yourself….

Sofar I have knit up one skein and loving every stitch ….

Ja, ich weiß …. Ich hab eine schwäche für das “Amiga” Cardigan-Muster.
Ich glaube, meine Mitarbeiter würden mit einig sein und lächelnd zustimmen.

Ich habe dieses Muster schon einige male gestrickt mit verschienden Garnen.
Ich komme immer wieder zu dieser Strickjacke zurück. Diese Jacke ist wirklich einer von meiner Favorits, von Mags Kandis entworfen. Werde diese Jacke hoffentlich bald fertig haben…um Euch zu zeigen.
Toll für mich, arbeite in einem Woll-und Patchwork- Stoff-Shop und wir haben gerade diese neue Noro Wolle “Kibou” (eine Mischung aus 54% Baumwolle, 34% Wolle, 12% Seide) erhalten. Die Farben sind erstaunlich … . “Kibou” strickt sich auch in Streifen je nach Muster, wird sicher auch extrafagant sein im Entrelac Muster.

Ich denke es wird etwas mehr dezenter sein da die einzelenen Wollen Fäden zuerst gefärbt sind und dann erst gesponnen sind…so wie ich das sehe. Dazuer wird der “Look” etwas weicher sein.
Sofar habe ich ein Knäuel fertig gestrickt und jede Masche is wunderbar….

What a fun knit this cardigan is…Amiga by Mags Kandis.

I have knit this one several times already and each time I fall in love with it again. This pattern is great for so many yarns…here I have knit it with Louet “KidLin Lace Weight” …I have equal fallen in love with this yarn …yes mohair and linen…what a blend.

The Linen gives this mohair the needed support in holding the stitch nice and together…I find the stitches are so much nicer then just mohair…more regural and as I would say not all over the place…smile.

Only 3 skeins and 4,5mm needles is all you need about 750 yarns or 700 meters. I went with a nice deep green called “Colorado Spruce…so cozy on a cooler evening sitting outside.

Es mach so richtig Spaß diese Strickjacke zu stricken...Amiga von Mags Kandis.

Ich habe dies schon mehrmals gestrickt und jedes Mal verliebe ich mich erneut. Dieses Muster eignet sich hervorragend für so viele Garne und Wolle. Hier habe ich es mit Louet “KidLin Lace Weight ” gestrickt … ja Mohair und Leinen … was für eine schöne Mischung.

Die Linen verleiht dem Mohair die erforderliche Unterstützung in der Masche sie hält schön zusammen ….

Nur 3 Stränge und 4,5 mm Nadeln brauchts Du dazu, so etwa 700 Meter in Wolle. Ich ging mit einem schönen tiefgrünen “Colodaro Spruce” … So gemütlich und warm ist diese Jacke wenn ich an einem kühleren Abend draußen auf dem Sitzplatz sitze….

Mothed In Green?

“Mothed in Green” is a fun top down knitting pattern from Mags Kandis called “Mothed”.

So I am not a big fan of the top down sweater or cardi knits but I have to say this one I am starting to like a lot. Perhaps it is also the yarn I am a fan off. Love knitting with “Americo Original Winter Flamme”. For this sweater I used only 2 skeins =678.5meters (colour k261 dark green) and needle size 4mm. It knits up so quickly and looks amazing on. It is really up to the You on how long or short the body or sleeves are. So have fun knitting this one too.

“Mothed in Grün” ist ein Muster das vom Kragen zur Talien gestrickt wird. Von Mags Kandis genannte “Mothed”.

Also ich bin kein großer Fan von Kragen zu Talien gestrickten Pullover oder Strickjacken, doch dieses Muster mag ich doch langsam aber sicher auch. Vielleicht ist es auch das Garn, ich bin ein Fan von “Americo Original-Winter-Flamme”. Für diesen Pullover habe ich nur 2 Strangen = 678.5meters (Farbe K261 dunkelgrün) und Nadelstärke 4mm gebraucht. Es strickt sich so schnell und sieht toll auf. Wie lang oder kurz man den Körper und Ärmel haben will kommt auf Dich selber an. Also dann viel Spaß beim Stricken.
