Beach Day on Grand Anse, Grenada

Another beautiful Day…Monday January 20th. hearing the ocean surf. They (Resort) say close the balcony doors when you go to sleep…

Not what I want to do… I feel safe and love to falling asleep and waking up with listening to the waves crushing onto the beach. Kind of miss the rocking to sleep on the “Lady Natalie” though. The ground I walk on is moving to the waves….

Going to be another beautiful day by the beach… thinking of where the Lady Natalie may be sailing to on her next adventure as I watch he drift away to in the Sea…what are the chances I’ll be here again one day I ask myself?

Every Day here is beautiful….

My Last Evening sunset joy and happiness.

I say Thank You to all that made this trip so special and a joy in my Life

The Royal Clipper in the harbor of St. George, Grenada
Last evening by the Beach.. Grand Anse
Can you see The Royal Clipper in the distant. So beautiful she has I believe 5 Masts if I recall that correctly.

memory and love in my life.

Umbrella, Grand Anse Beach

This was totally something I have never done before… Go to a Restaurant and eat on my own.

I was hungry and was tired of eating on my own for past days. So thought I’ll go check out this “Umbrella’s Beach Bar” that the Resort I stayed in recommend and it was soooo close…

Cool I can walk on the sandy white beach to my restaurant and don’t have to worry about drinking and driving… OMG I am going to sit down and have a meal on my own… glad I did!

…shortly after I ordered my supper and yes glass of wine… this place started to rock… Band, that I didn’t know started to play and believe me this bar was rocking along all night…Absolutely a must visit if you are ever at Grand Anse Beach in Grenada!!! This bar was totally a hot spot to be at…

Red red Wine ….

Walking home to the resort I stopped by the resort directly to my place Coyaba you should have heard the music playing there.. so romantic, I decide to sat for a little and just listen to it.

Grand Anse Beach, Grenada

Day 10 of my Grenada holiday. All 3 crew members left Lady Natalie now… and I have checked in to this beautiful resort called Allamanda Beach Resort right by Grand Anse Beach.

Definitely was speechless once again to see this view this two-mile stretch of creamy-white sand overlooks a sheltered bay. And all right her for me to enjoy the next 3 days. Walked the beach several times, so beautiful..

Was enjoying this time all to mo myself. Something like that I have never done before..peaceful time for me. I enjoyed the first evening just sitting on the beach and looking out to the sea…waiting for the sunset…

as these guys started to run down the beach… I just could not resist asking them to do this again…so I can video them …

Day 4 In Grenada, Caribbean Island

So you may have wondered when are we going to sail… ?

The wind and weather have been a bit up and down in the past 3 days. Heavier winds, rain at times. A crew new at sailing, like myself that have never been out on the ocean sailing. Kapt’n Dave decided to do the on island tours first do to the weather.

Today we are heading from Clark’s Coke Boatyard & Marina to St. George. But first Dave, our Kapt’s needs to change the belt on the motor.Morning job for him… Oh I am now trying to think what the rest of the crew did? I know I ask to see the motor.

I should have watched Dave so I learn… gurr I didn’t think of that then. Did walk up to marinas Wood shop with Dave to see what the status is on a job they where doing for him.

Some where enjoying a longer sleep in the morning AND THAT WAS totally ok with the rest of the crew. Then the helped on the deck was so much easier.. smiles

Sailing over to St. George’s Inner Harbour… We are sailing!! YESSSS

OMG….I am sailing on The Ocean and on Lady Natalie a much bigger sailboat then we are learning on at Lake Simcoe…., what a feeling so fantastic. I still can’t believe this incredible joy
Waterbaby I still love you ….But wow Lady N you are something else.

I believe we stopped at Grenada Yacht Club to fill up some fuel and water for “Lady Natalie”. And some food with liquids for us too. Every Port has it’s memory.

Then went to anchor out of bay… look at this picture perfect sunset…

First experience going a little further on dinghy on the ocean to have supper at Nutmeg Restaurant… I tell you this can’t get any better…. smiles so I thought.. but wait till you read my next view days.. It’s a dream coming true…

By The Sea, Granville, Grenada, Caribbean Island

One can definitely say this is a “A Hidden Gem” the view is spectacular. Loved how they had dogs and turtles all in restaurant too. They opened up the restaurant for us…smiles apparently they know we are coming…

This “By The Sea” is located by Pearls International Speedway in Grenville. As I walked in I just new I had to go right to the beach somehow… Through bushes, I guess palm trees and sugar canes…you should see what presented my eyes. Omg…. it’s out of this world in my eyes.

Driftwood on the beach.. totally natural looking beach. Just as it is…beautiful view. Waves crushing on to the shore…

SO loved to see the locals enjoying this place. They where having a nice time hanging out together and just enjoying the sunshine and beach like I did.

There was something so precious to see that. I almost thought of walking over to the group and chat with them. But I thought no let them be.

Gone back to my group and enjoy time together. Food was yummy too with a glass of wine. I have to say I am kind of staying away from the rum drinks. They are very strong here on the island.

These pups are just adorable.

Day 3 In Grenada, Caribbean Island, Fort Frederick.

Day 3 was Sunday Jan. 13th. beautiful sunrise once again with fresh ground coffee. With my home baked Biscottis I brought down to the island. So today we have a very exiting day ahead of us..

Best way to start this adventure is with a rainbow.

Island tour with our amazing guide Cutty and his daughter. He showed us so many beautiful spots…

There is no way I can do this post all in one… if you are still with me now and are up to this adventure with me… I tell you, it will be so much fun. with sunshine and flowers everywhere.

From Clarke’s Court Boatyard & Marina all 5 crew boarded the mini bus. First stop was Fort Frederick a historical, French-built fort atop a hill offers sweeping views of the St. George & ocean.

Have I told you yet I love to take pictures of water droplets on flowers… Wait don’t go to far… next post is at Annandale Waterfalls.. omg soooo refreshing.

Day 2 in Grenada, Carribean Island

Meet out Kapt’n Dave

First night sleeping ever on a sailboat. Very different for sure. I heard lots of swish, wosh, swish, wosh…waves. Then some sheets here and there knocking on the mast I think… Now here is the best part… The Rooster. Totally one sound to not forget. He was every where we went. Smiles… just like they have dogs rooming free with no owner ever in sight.

Looks like we have a job to do before the rest of the crew gets here.

Put the mainsail back on the boom. It needed some repair and now it’s back on the deck to but up again… only thing is it is getting windy… so someone had to hold it down as Dave figured out the best way to do this. Of course with my help.. I would not want it any other way! Making sure it does not lift up before it is ready to sailllll….lol

Ok so what do you think we need now on the sailboat for the week we are here on board? Food and wine. Oh my gosh …Off we go on a grocery bus run. What a hoot! We had 13 people on buss plus driver. ANDDDD ALLL THE FOOOOOOD and drinks and whatever everyone needed to bring back. A new COB for our Lady too. All fit into the bus. You should have seen us all …LOL we all where squished like sardines.

Our second crew has arrived… Annabelle. A little tired after a long flight here.

Annabelle has arrived our second crew member…

Ok now bring all the items we collected back with dinghy to our “Lady Natalie. Ohhh how funny this is it all has to go into fridge somehow. I could not believe what you all stuffed in there.

So special to experience a foll moon on the Island of Grenada. We planed to go to Hogs Island for the Full Moon Party. But with the wind being stronger and in a dinghy. We decided to head over to Adrift Restaurant And Bar right here at Clarke’s Court Boatyard & Marina

To Enjoy another great evening of happiness, laughter, smiles, food, drinks, dancing and listening to music… with the full moon so bright in the sky. Only thing is I was playing around taking pictures with a new camera…so my pictures came out a bit fuzzy. Recommend to play around with new items at home before going on a trip.
