Winter Pictures in the Yard

Winter Pictures in the Yard

It was January 3rd. 2010. The new Millennium and guess what we have received our first cold cold cold winter blessing for the New Year.  Minus 19 and adding on the wind brings it to minus- 25 BURRRR………

You can say that again.  I just finished shovelling the snow on our driveway.  And just had to take some shots.  My fingers are freezing as gloves just don’t work well pushing the small little button on my camera.  Ohhh I just remember I made those “Fingerless Gloves”, where are they now?  In the house, what good are they there!!  I will take the pictures quick and next times, I am sure will come soon…….take the gloves too.

Freezing cold……..

Winter Fotos in dem Garten
Es war der 3. Januar. 2010.

Ahhhhh Eiskalt

Spa Socks as Requested also know as Pedicure

Spa Socks as requested also known as Pedicure socks

Well here it is for those  of you that regularly go to the Spa for a pedicure and like to keep their feet toasty………………look no more or should I say don’t cut your socks up for your toes to show and you to be warm.  I have the perfect cure….these socks are knit in about two to three days.  Depends on my time and yarn I use.   This is a great solution and you do not have to take the scissors to your socks.

See also “Fingerless Gloves” under knitting from previous posts could be use for your manicure

For more information you can contact  me and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Fishtail wristwarmers

Some Great Fingerless Gloves

Fingerless GlovesI love this fun pattern called “Fishtail wristwarmers“. It is fun to knit and only uses up one ball of yarn. I have used Lang  Yarn ” Jawoll Superwash” in gray and “Meilenweit Cotton” in orange. I have to say both look and feel nice. My favourite though would be the gray one, knit with Lang Yarn  “Jawoll Superwash.”http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/fishtail-wristwarmers#

As today is Halloween the orange one would be the perfect one to wear tonight.  The pattern was fun to knit and you get into the pattern repeats soon.

I will work on a few more for some Presents.  Hope to keep a few children happy and warm in the cold winter days.  Perhaps we all should start to think of the poor and just make one extra item for just one child.  Even one will make a difference.
