“Man Hat”

as it is called…well I have added a PomPom but you can leave it off and then it would be perfect for your Man. The pattern is really wonderful and great for so many yarns.

This Man Hat by Haven Leavitt is available for free on Ravelry.

I used US 8 – 5 mm needle and yes a discontinued yarn from Cascade Yarns “Jewel” Hand Dyed with 129 meters (142 Yards) one skein was enough gorgeous blue tone one tone colour.

“Mann-Hut”

ist das Muster genannt … nur habe ich eine PomPom hinzugefügt, kann aber auch ohne PomPom sein. Das Muster ist jedoch wirklich wunderbar und großartig für so viele Wollen.

Ecuador Cardigan

Is this amazing pattern by Joji Locatelli.

You can use so many fun yarns for this cardigan. A swinging fun summer evening cardigan or an all around great Fall cardigan. But who is to says you have to add sleeves to it!?

I knit this one with no sleeves for a swinging vest and it looks fabulous too

Though for this carding I used Malabrigo Yarn Sock …in colour 863 Zarzamora

As soon as I was finished knitting it for one of our customers the yarn sold like hot cakes…Surely my boss likes this. With only 4 skeins so about 1760 yards or 1609 meters of it.

Oh I could tell you another great yarn for this “Dye Hard Fibre Arts” available at “The Yarn Store.ca” the sock weight possibly or even the Dk weight if you like to make it more of a warmer winter cardigan.

Ecuador Cardigan

Ein tolles Muster von Joji Locatelli.

Du kannst es mit so viele schönen Wollen und Garnen stricken. Ein schwingender Spaß für ein schöner Sommerabend oder eine rundherum tolle Herbst Strickjacke.

Aber wer sagt das Du dazu lange Ärmeln stricken must!?

Ich strickte dieses Muster ohne Ärmel für einen schwingende Weste und es sieht auch fantastisch aus.

Doch für diese Jacke brauchte ich 4 Kneuel “Malabrigo Yarn Sock” in der Farbe 863 Zarzamora http://www.malabrigoyarn.com/

Sobald ich fertig war mit der Jacke die für eine Kundin war…wurde auch die Wolle schnell verkauft.

Fun Fringed Scarf

Not my first pattern I created but the first I am selling to You.

So many great yarns and I am a true believer that we all can have fun with all the different texture of yarns.

So after the “Creative Festival” I thought is was time to use the two yarns

Debbie Bliss Angel” and Sirdar Firefly Metallic together in some fun way. So here I am with

“Fun Fringed Scarf”

simple and easy to knit.

You will need only one skein of Debbie Bliss Angel

and two skeins of Sirdar Firefly Metallic and needle size 4mm

Nicht mein erstes Muster das ich entworfen habe doch das Erste das zum Kaufen ist.

Erika Cardigan

One of my Creation for myself.

As you can see I had some fun with it too.

A change I the stitch and a fun yarn for the border and voila ready to wear.

This sumptuous “Prism Neat Stuff”yarn has been looking at me at” The Yarn Store” for a while now telling me

“Please give me a try…You would be the one for me!”

Smile…

Guess what I did, yes I know it is rather expensive skein so therefore I used only one skein of this yarn.

This yarn does have sooooo many changes from lace weight to ribbon, DK weight to frill and so on all though out the skein… therefore you have a lot of knots during your knitting…you could sew them all in but I decided to make this part of the design in my cardigan…fringes why not…

So since I only was able to afford to buy one skein of this Neat Stuff I needed another amazing yarn to go with my “Erika Cardigan”…..

WE ALL LOVE so much ….….madelinetosh tosh merino light

and the pattern needed another change as you can see a NEW STITCH yes that is it…voila off to my knitting so I can wear it…

Einer von meiner eigener Creation für mich selber

Du kannst sehen Ich hatte Spaß dabei.

Eine Änderung, die Masche und ein Tolles Garn verwendete ich dazu und voila fertig zum Tragen.

Dieses prächtige “Prism Neat Stuff” Garn hat mich immer angelächelt bei “The Yarn Store” für eine Weile schon

“Bitte gieb mir einen Versuch … Du wirst die Richitige für mich sein!”

Na ja ich weiß, es ist ein ziemlich teuer Knäuel so deshalb habe ich nur ein Knäuel von diesem Garn verwendet.

Dieses Garn hat zwar sooooo viele Veränderungen aus Spitzen Garne ,”Bändeli”, DK Gewicht zu Krausen Wolle keine Grenzen in dem Knäuel … Deshalb hast Du eine Menge von Knoten während dem Stricken … man könnte sie alle vernähen, aber ich beschloss, diese Knoten in diesem Entwurfs in meine Strickjacke zu zeigen… Fransen warum nicht …

Ja natürlich war eine Strange nicht genug für die Jacke so seit wir alle

” madelinetosh tosh merino light”

lieben verwendete ich zwei Strangen davon.

Das Muster benötigt eine weitere Änderung, neue Masche ja das ist es … voila fertig zum Tragen ist sie meine

HAZEL CARDIGAN

Sooo delicate and light the is this stitch and yarn used for this “Hazel Cardigan” by Perl Grey.

I did knit this up twice as I was off with my gauge by 3 inches for the first one…ahhhh I cringe haw could this happen???

Well it did, I am not perfect and do make errors from time to time…smile we learn from them.

With that said the first one fits me fine and the second one will be great to for the medium size.

So for the first one I used a 6 mm needle and about 2.5 skeins of Handmaiden Fine Yarn Maiden Hair the kit comes with 5 skeins (so I knew something was not right)

The second one I used a size 7 mm needle and the rest of the yarn about 3.25 skeins.

Sooo Zart und Leicht sind diese Masche und auch das Garn für diese “Hazel Cardigan” von Perl Grau verwendet.

Natürlich eine Wolle von der Schweiz…wenn ich das sagen darf.Ich habe diese Jacke zweimal stricken dürfen, da ich bei ganzen 8cm mit der Maschenprobe off war…. ahhhh ich kann es fast nicht glaube wie konnte das passieren??
Na ja ich bin nicht perfekt und mache Fehler von Zeit zu Zeit… lächeln, wir lernen davon aber auch.

Doch damit sage ich…Ich habe ich eine neue Jacke! Da die Erste mir recht gut passt. Die Zweite wird ideal sein für die mittlere Größe.

Also für die erste Jacke habe ich eine 6 mm Nadel und etwa 2,5 Stränge “Handmaiden Fine Yarn Maiden Hair” dass mit dem 5 Stränge Packung kommt (da wusste ich , dass etwas nicht in Ordnung ist…)
Das Zweite habe ich dann mit 7 mm Nadel und Medium Grösse gestrickt mit 3.25Kneuel die ich übrig hatte von der Packung.

Allegra Dress

This is a dress that has been designed

You too can knit this amazing dress. The pattern in available in one of the Koigu Knitting Magazines.

Koigu Painter’s Palette Premium Merino (KPPPM).

To knit this dress, we used almost every colour that “The Yarn Store” has for you to purchase too. Have a look and see all the fun, soft amazing yarns you can find at:

….so back to the dress now.

The front and back sides are both the same in the colours for the squares. With a sum-total of 151 squares and 21 different colour skeins about 3675.0 yards (3360.4m) have been used.

For the sleeves we used 8 skeins = 1400.0 yards (1280.2m) in the same colour

I have to say it took a little longer to knit than most projects had taken me. Though a very nice knit using the “cubics needles” US 2½ – 3.0 mm.

I love knitting with the “Cubics” Needles von ” Knitter’s Pride”especially for lace projects. I find the stitches stay on the needle much nicer…give it a try to and let me know what you think to them…

Allegra Kleid

Dies ist ein Kleid, das von Maie Landra entworfen wurde.

Ihr können diese Muster in einem Koigu Strickheften finden. Wir haben dazu jede Farbe verstrickt die “The Yarn Store” hat von diesem Garn

“Koigu Painter’s Palette Premium Merino (KPPPM)“.

Die Vorder-und Rückseite sind gleich gestrickt worden in den Farben.

Mit einer Gesamtsumme von 151 Quadraten und 21 unterschiedlichen Farben etwa 3360.4m verwendet wurden.

Für die Ärmel verwendeten wir 8 Stränge = 1280.2m in der gleichen Farbe

Ich muss sagen, es dauerte ein wenig länger zum Stricken. Doch war es ein sehr schönes stricken mit den “Cubics Nadeln” US 2 ½ – 3,0 mm.

Mir passen diese Cubics Nadlen von “Knittere’s Pride” eigendlich recht gut, speziell für Spitzen-Projekte. Ich finde die Maschen bleiben auf der Nadel viel schöner rutschen nicht gleich so schnell weg …

Basic Ribbed Cowl

Knit up in a view hours as is no problem with this supper thick yarn called “Rasta 100% Wool Eco” from Americo Original in Toronto.

The pattern: Basic Ribbed Cowl

A free Ravelry download super easy to knit. I used 4 skeins and needle size 12mm.

Here are some of my info on how I knit this one up. Cast on 90 stitches for this cowl. This way I can have 5 stitches knit and 5 stitches purl and knit with needle size 12mm and get the measurements I am looking for.
Finished, measuring 25 inches long an 9 inches wide before soaking and drying!

The olive green cowl was knit for Unwind Yarn House and then I liked it so much I knit the off white one for myself and another one in the Diamond Yarn Luxury Collection Baby Alpaca Sport in the orange colour

Mit so einem dicken Garn “Rasta 100% Wolle Eco” von Americo Original in Toronto, ist es einfach den fertig zu stricken in einem Tag.

Das Muster ist Basic-Ribbed Cowl, by Alexandra Beck, ein kostenloser Ravelry Download super einfach zu stricken. Benutzte ganze 4 Stränge Wolle und Nadelstärke 12mm.

Hier sind einige meiner Infos, wie ich diese Zwei Cowl gestrickt hatte. 90 Maschen anschlagen so habe ich 5 Maschen Rechts und 5 Maschen links zum stricken und dieses stehst wiederholen über idie ganzen 90 Maschen. In der Runde weiter stricken bis alle Wolle aufgestrickt ist und nur genügend übrig ist zum Abkennten.
Fertiges Maß: 64 cm lang und 23cm breit vor dem Nässen und Trocknen!

Den oliv-grünen wurde für Unwind Yarn House gestrickt. der hat mir dann so gut gefallen dass ich gleich noch ein zweiter für mich selber in off-weiss gestrickt hatte und noch einer in Ornage mit Diamond Yarn Luxury Collection Baby Alpaca Sport

“Cowl” A Must Have

So what is all the hype about Cowls this season…we had scarfs now it’s all about a cowl!

Yes they are fun to knit but also they are perfect for this cold season. Look at the one I just finished, I could say hot of the press….no wait hot of me needles would be better.

This yarn from Madelinetosh Tosh DK is super soft and just slightly uneven with the colours. So it gives this cowl (almost wrote “Scarf”) a unique fun colour tone. Super easy and fast to knit and it is all in the rounds with needle size US 8 – 5.0 mm and only 2 skeins (about 450 yards or 411 meters)so great for TV knitting if you like.

Also, was ist all dieser hyp über “Cowls” in diese Saison … wir hatten Schals doch jetzt geht es um eine Cowls sind das Kapuze-Schals!?!

Ja, sie machen Spaß zu stricken, aber sind auch perfekt für diese kalte Jahreszeit. Schaut herein ich habe diesen Cowl vor ein paar Wochen fertig gestrickt. Ich könnte sagen, “hot of the Presse” …. oh nein heiss von meinen Nadeln wäre besser.

Dieses Garn aus Madelinetosh Tosh DK ist super weich und nur leicht meliert mit in der Farbe. So verleiht es diesem Cowl (fast schrieb ich “Schal”) ein einzigartigen Farbton. Super einfach und schnell zu stricken und es ist alles in der Runde mit Nadel Größe US 8 bis 5,0 mm und nur 2 Stränge (ca. 411 Meter) gestrickt. Perfect für am Fernseher zu stricken….

Black Lace Shawl

How wonderful and light draping this shawl is once again. the pattern is the “198 Yards of Heaven” on Ravelry

I did knit this one in 100% Pima Cotton Flame

from Americo Original . One day I do have to go visit that store in Toronto. Wonderful yarns they have. This shawl will be nice to have on hand if I need one for an evening out this winter.

So wunderschön und leicht ist dieser Schal wieder geworden. Das Muster ist das “198 Yars of Heaven” bei Ravelry

Dises mal habe ich 100% Pima Baumwolle Flamme von Americo Original gebraucht. Sicher werde ich froh sein dieser Schal im Kasten zu habe wenn wir an einem schönen Abend in Ausgang gehen werden.

Immer schön so ein Schal über ein rassiges Kleid zu targen.

Shoe Fashion And Having Fun With Nail Polish

Ok you all have probably noted I like not always go with the flow of others and love to have some fun…so here you see my newest Fashion. My blue nails and Ohhh…. have you seen my shoes. Well I remember my dad telling me never ever to come home with purple nails when I was 15 or so. I never did….but I had a lot of fun painting some of my mothers friends nails like our local backer woman’s nails. We had some fun but always just with the red and pink tones. Some good healthy fun …..my daughter loves this colour too as you can see on one of the pics

Faschion Schuhe und Nagellack

Ok Ihr habt sicher gemerkt dass ich nicht immer ales so mache wie jeder andere Mensch. Mir gefällt es ab und zu einmal etwas anderes zu machen und nicht immer dem “Normalen” nach zu gehen. So zeige ich Euch mein neuer blauer Nagellack….und auch dazu meine neuen Schuhe…Da erinnere ich mich aber auch an die Worte von meinem Vater als ich etwas 15 Jahre alt war. Nie mit violetten gestrichenen Nägel nach hause zu kommen. Vielmasl habe ich auch die Finger Nägel von unsere localen Bäckers Frau lackiert doch nur mir Rot und Rosarot. Spass soll sein ab und zu….diese Farben gefallen meiner Tochter natürlich auch wie Ihr sehen könnt auf den Photos
