“Susan Undulating Waves Scarf” for Unwind Yarn House sample

Is a pattern that you can find on Ravely. A fun knit including lots of Beads. The pattern asks for 924 size 6mm beads however ….I needed almost double that. Each pattern repeats needs 33 beads from row 1-10. With using 2 skeins of Koigu Merino yarn I was able to knit almost 48 repeats. That would give me a total of 1548 Beads. This scarf is heavier no doubt but stunning to be able to wear it in so many ways measuring about 52 inches long This is your jewel to wear any time. I was able to string on the beads with a sewing needle but you could use smaller size beads too and use a fish wire to string the beads on to lace weight yarn and adjust the with of the scarf too. I added all or at least half of the beads onto the yarn before I started to knit and then moved them along as I knit this scarf. Ist ein Muster das man bei Ravelry finden kann. Ein schönes Muster das mit Beads gestricket wird. Das Muster fragt nach 924 Beads in Grösse 6mm doch…..Ich brauchte fast das Doppelte. Jedes Muster braucht 33 Beads von Reihe 1 bis 10. Mit zwei Strangen Koigu Merino Wolle war es möglich bis 48 mall das Muster zu stricken. Dabei brauchte ich aber 1548 Beads. Dieser Schal ist ganz sicher etwas schwerer zum tragen bei fast 130cm Länge und all den Beads, doch ist das der Schmuck für die Trägerin. Ich benutzte eine Nähnadel für die Beads auf zu fassen. Doch kann man auch Fisch Nilon gebrauchen und kleinere Beads und feinere Wolle und der Schal etwas Breiter stricken. Knitted Shawl With Beads “Haruni”

Wonderful and nicely draping shawl. Luxurious and one of the easiest pattern to follow. Intimidating at first I though when I saw all the pages to print out. But well worth it….. It was such a breeze to knit and loves it every stitch. Adding the beads with a crochet hock was one of the simplest ways to add beads to this gorgeous shawl. The yarn I used for this project was from Koigu > Premium Merino KPM, Knit with size 4mm needle and the pattern is available to download at Ravelry under “Haruni”.http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/haruni

Wunderschön fallend ist dieser Schal. Luxuriös und einer von den einfacheren Strick Muster zum verfolgen. War etwas skeptisch zu erst alls ich so viele Seiten aus drucken musste für das Muster. Doch war es dass Wert…. So leicht und einfach zum stricken, Masche für Masche. Mit einer Häckel Nadel habe ich auch noch 6mm Glass Perlen dazu hinein gestrickt. Das war sehr einfach mit dem “Häckli” dies herein zu legen. Sieht auch schön aus. Ich benutzte ein Garn von Koigu > Premium Merino KPM, mit Nadeln Nummer 4mm und das Muster kann man Gratis herunter laden bei Ravelry unter “Haruni”.http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/haruni

Charming Charms

Well the New Year is here and as usual I am searching for new ideas…..

Luckily I was asked if I could transform a wonderful looking bookmark into something that my friend could wear to show off the beautiful Charms. We came up with the idea of making it into a Necklace……..

Not too sure if that is the best solution……..I was looking around again in the magazines. I decided to make a bracelet. So here the transformed bookmark…….wonderful idea I think.

Reizende Armband

Nun das neue Jahr ist hier und wie immer bin ich auf der Suche nach neuen Idean …..
Zum Glück wurde ich gefragt, ob ich einen wunderbares Buchzeichen in etwas anderes verwandeln könnte. So das sie es tragen kann mit all den schöne Charms. Wir kamen auf die Idee, eine Halskette würde schön sein……..
Nicht so sicher, ob dass die beste Lösung ist…….. nachdenklich suchte ich in den Zeitschriften herum. So beschlossen ich ein Armband zu machen. Also hier das transformierten Buchzeichen……. wunderbare Idee.

Christmas Ornaments Created by the Kids

We had some fun times creating this wonderful Ornaments over all the years and as always they love to hang them on the Christmas tree too. Lots of Beads, Sequence and Love go into making them. A keepsake for life.

Some of these great hands made ornament are shown on our Christmas Tree every year. Or given as Gift to our Friends and Families for their Christmas Trees. I love the Decopatch Technique with Paper Napkins it will transform the plain Porcelain Ornaments into a wonderful art peace.

Needle Pointing such as Hardanger Stitching or Cross Stitching and then place around the Christmas Ball is another option. Or add-on some Beadwork to it. All look very nice as you can see. It makes it even more special, because it is made with Love and Joy. We hope our friends who have been given one will like them too.

Dekoration fuer den Weihnachtsbaum

Einige dieser Hand gemachten Schmuck findst Du an unserem Weihnachtsbaum jedes Jahr aufgehaengt . Oder als Geschenk fuer unsere Freunde und Familien für ihre Weihnachtsbaum.

Es sieht schoen aus wenn die Porzellan Ornament mit der (Decopatch Technique) Papierservietten dekoriert. Auch verschiedene Arten von Stickereien, wie Hardanger Stickerei oder Kreuzstich sehen sehr schoen aus. Ich legen die Stickerei dann rund um die runden Kugeln, arangiert es so das keinen Falten entstehe. Ich dekoriere die klaren Weihnachts Kugeln auch mit Perelen oder “Chraelelie”. Alle sehen sehr schön aus, wie Du sehen kanst , und wunderbar, wenn Sie jemanden auch freude bereiten.

Sie können auf einige der Glaskugeln oder Porzellankugeln bei einem Handarbeits Laden kaufen.

Links into Links Bracelet

Nice way to use up some of your seed beads. Just mix and match and have fun with the colors. Here are some pictures of the diagram to make one link for this Bracelet.

The links are all interwoven, only the last on is a back and forth flat Peyote stitch over three rows. Use any clasp method you like to finish it off. Or sew on a snap clasp form your sew kit. Here are some of the links joined together.

Square by Square Peyote Stitch Bracelet also sold as Patchwork Peyote Bracelete

So much fun to bead this Bracelet. I found the instruction at one of our local bead stores http://www.thatbeadlady.com since then I have completed a few of the bracelets and even the kids love to help. They love all the fun colors, sparkles ……..and try to string a necklace for mom too. With all the many colors of beads or sizes you can buy, this is a beautiful way to start your beading interest. If you have been interest in beading and never dared to start any small fun projects. This surely will get you to start and finish a wonderful gift for yourself or a friend. I find it rewarding and fun to come up with so many new color combinations for this Charm.

Quadrat ueber Quadrat Peyote Armband

Ich habe das Muster in einem lockalen “Chraelelie” Perlen Laden ( http://www.thatbeadlady.com ) gefunden . Seit dem habe ich ein paar von den Armbändern fertig gemacht. Sogar die Kinder haben Spass mit zu helfen. Die Farben und das funkelt….., so versuchen sie sogar eine Kette für’s Mami zu machen.
Mit all den vielen Farben und Groessen der Perlen, ist dies eine schönes Hobbie. Hattest Du schon immer Interesse an Perlen (Chraelelie)und hast es nicht gewagt ein kleines Projekte anzufangen, das ist mit Sicherheit ein wunderbares Geschenk für Dich selbst oder jemand den Du mags. Ich finde es entspanned und macht viel Spaß mit so vielen Farbkombinationen zu arbeiten. Schau hinein und lasse mich wissen, was Du denkst. Freue mich immer auf Antwort oder Kommentar.

Beaded Lace Shawl

Another project finished just before Christmas.

I love the lacy look of this shawl and the beads added to it give it the sparkle for the Festive Season. This pattern was challenging as I had to really keep a close look on what row I was on. I also thought I had chosen the wrong yarn to work with. But in the end I think it look very stunning. I may try to make another one in a black lace yarn in January. After all my Christmas wishes have been completed.

Now I am looking forward to starting my next project….so many to choose from. But I have to work on some more of the Fingerless Gloves before that. Then, I may complete one of the Entrelac pattern Scarves. Will see……hope to see you back soon.

Ein weiteres Projekt fertig kurz vor Weihnachten.

Ich liebe die filigrane Anmutung dieses Tuch und die Perlen geben ihm den Glanz der Festlichen Jahreszeit. Dieses Muster war eine echte Herausforderung, ich hatte wirklich einen genauen Blick auf das Muster halten muessen. Ich dachte, ich hätte die falschen Wolle für die Arbeit ausgewählt. Aber am Ende denke ich, es ist sehr schoen heraus gekommen. Ich versuchen, ein anderes in einem schwarzen Spitzen Garn zu stricken im Januar. Nachdem alle meine Weihnachten Wuensche und Bestellungen abgeschlossen sind.
Jetzt freue ich mich auf mein nächstes Projekt …. So viele zur Auswahl. Aber ich sricke noch einige der Halb-Handschuhe. Dann werde ich den Entrelac Schal zu stricke anfangen. Werden sehen … … hoffen, Sie bald wieder zu sehen.

Zigzag Peyote Stitch Bracelet with Swarovski Crystals

A fun way of creating some zigzag into your daily jewellery. I have made it with a few beads added on. It will be wider than the pattern ask for to add on some lengths for a more dramatic bigger look it will then also fit wider writs. At the same time string on less beads and the same Bracelet will become less wide and shorter for a smaller writs. The Zigzag will work out to a finished look for you to add on the clasp. This pattern is available at “That Bead Lady”.

Lace Knit and Croched Shrug

A wonderful Lace Knit and Crochet Shrug for dressing up to go out on the town. Looks great with a thin or strap less dress for a Cocktail Party or the coming Christmas Events. I am sure lots of us are looking now to see what we are going to wear this coming Festive Season. Again…this could be knit with a nice silk yarn. It would be possible to add-on some stunning Beads at the Ruffle.

Beadwork Bracelets in Multi Color Tones

Just a few of some of my latest Bracelets.

One “Lattice Cube Bracelet” in green tones and one in blue and pink tones. I have used 4mm Japanese cube beads and size 11mm seed beads that I have mixed up to achieve a multi color tone for the Lattice Cube Bracelets.

For the “Patchwork Peyote Bracelet” in silver and blue tones I have use Delica beads in size 8 and 12, cube beads 3mm and #1 bugles. All have magnetic clasp for easy on and off, the magnets are strong enough to hold and not be pulled apart easily.
