However we all have our destinies we need to follow… and never say never. Look into the future it is never to late to reconnect…. and make new memories…..and new friends.
Thanks for being my friends for sooo many memories
It is my moments to go for a drive and just drive …
Not to long ago on a Tuesday…
……no destination in mind usually.
My Pick up truck takes me along the county roads… I make sure I know how to back track my ways too. GPS yeah but my GPS is driving on a road that does’t exist most of the times … LOL
Honestly my truck has taken me to the Lake Simcoe lately … or to the smaller Churches around them. I was about to leave that church ground when something just pulled me over on my walks….
A Rose found just like that in the grounds… In Moments when I needed a sign…My Dad always loved roses… What are the odds of that…
Totally amazing to see the old grave stones and the beautiful doors and windows on the churches.

There is also a great wonderful lady Nina, love her Love and Passion for yarn and designing “Creative Yarns Inc” booth 449. She has this oh so soft shawl…Nina sure was nice and cozy and that inside!..wish I took a picture to show you.
Mittens and leg warmers I bought.
There are so many other great vendors there. You have to see the boot 734 right next to us. I think they are “El Tambache Traveling Show”. A father son operation belonging to the Fair Trade Federation. I have been buying mittens and leg warmers whenever I see them. They even have coats that are all lined with super soft fleece too.
As we where leaving the second day, still inside the Metro Toronto Convention Center I had this view. CN Tower directly above me.
Always like to go to Toronto it is a stunning view when you drive in to the city it
Hope today will be a good day for you ladies working the show. Take a break, have a lunch you will need it for the take down after.
Sunny, warm and yes Music playing. At first I thought it was always that way.
Music by the Lake. Then I clued in a big screen right by the Lake Ahhh I get it “FIFA Soccer Night”.
FIFA is playing. Outdoor party time.
This city is a must see …..
I love the tropical feel one get when entering to the south of Switzerland.
Palm trees are a welcome sight. If you like watches and jewellery you better put your walled away. The Glitz, Glam and sparkles are amazing and so are the prices.
Butcher shop
You have to see the butcher shops…wow! I even seen a show maker …He was very happy to have me take a picture too. My eyes opened up wide when I seen the spaghetti noodles at one meters long.
Walking by the waterfront, just perfect with all the hustle and bustle of the young and old walking or sitting by the waterfront.
I love all the small allies that lead from out Hotel to the Lake. So special to be able to show this to my son.
Lugano
Sailboat By the Pier
Wow, was für ein “Happening Platz”.
Sonnig, warm und ja Musik. Zuerst dachte ich, es ist immer so. Musik beim See?
Yes this watch is a total of CHf 15100.00 I told you to leave the walled at home this is one of many…
If you take the Tram you would never see this hill.. So cool lots of stairs of steep walk way …you have to do it once!
“The Madonna di Tirano” dating back to the 1504. Picture form the air.
Finally made it to Italy to a quaint old Town called Tirano.
Switzerland trip part 4
The terminal station at the south end of the Bernina Railway. When you arrive in Tirano from Switzerland with the Bernina Express you drive right past the historic “The Madonna di Tirano” dating back to the 1504.
The river Adda flows through the town. Monika and Sonja (Mutt) taking a rest
Departed the Bernina Express later in the afternoon we immediately started looking for a Hotel.
Hotel Corona Happy to have found the perfect Hotel Corona great prices, very clean room, friendly staff and walking distant to terminal station for the next day.
I had forgotten that in Europe lots of Restaurants close their kitchen till 6 or 7 pm so no supper till then… So we decided to go sight-seeing.
I just love all the small roads and ways between the homes
a stone bathtub outside that has the water from the mountain go though it, Truly a very historic Town. But one that has a very busy many road coming from the south of Italy that bring goods into Switzerland.
GELATO an Italian ice cream. I can’t believe I totally left Tirano and never had one.
Chianti
Even on the sidewalks they drive from all corners they come from…kind of funny watching this.
This door is from the 1760. The date is stamped on the top of the door….
This home has at leased 30 bottles of wine just siting on the steps…so unique
Someone is collecting wood for the winter
The Bernina Express is one of the most spectacular Alpine crossing
Moehlin with morning Fog
Off we go to the South of Switzerland by train. We left Möhlin, a village in the North of Switzerland next to the Rhein River, very early in the am as you can see low-lying fog. We took the train to Chur.
Chur by the train Station waiting for the Bernina Express to take us on….
Here we stepped on to the Bernina Express train. Through 55 tunnels and across 196 bridges and from Chur-Tirano travel time 4.05 hours, the train weaving its way behind the Bernina Hospiz (2253 metres) through the Poschiavo Valley into Valtellina in Italy.
On Board the Bernina Express
Many highlight awaited us. Near Filisur, the train traverses an awe-inspiring landmark – the 65-metre-high Landwasser viaduct.
A trip one has to go and take if you visit Switzerland. I was wishing for blue sky so we could see the mountains…overcast for most of the day though.
Morteratsch Gletscher
Alp Gruem
luckily for us just as we arrived at “Alp Grüm” for about 10 minutes it cleared up, long enough for us to look around and take some pictures of the
Piz Palü Glacier
….How lucky I have to say!
We continued our adventure over the Brusio spiral viaduct, really this is fantastic.
…Endstation! All had to get off in Tirano, Italy. Yes we are in Italy now.
Gorgeous older town I will post some more about this later in Part 4…soon I promise.
Sonja9Mutt), Monika and I
So after a good three days of scrapping the cars, driveways and shoveling Ice!!!
Yes ICE not snow…and that a good layer of about 1.5″ to 2″ if not more and that just about EVERYWHERE you can think off….
For the past view days we had to remove a lot of ICE….everything is iced up. My truck was covered with at least 1″ of solid ice. Try to get that off and not work up some sore arms. The driveway, what a sheet of ice. If it would not be on a slight decline to the road we could have used it for an ice-rink.
I am sending you some of my pictures I took over the last view days. And since it will not go above freezing for a some days this ice cover is to stay for some time too. Just hope we do not get wind as the tree branches full of ice could break…fall on cars, power lines and so much more….Truly hope it will not come to that…Good to have a stash of Yarn…lol, Peanut Butter, Bread and water in the home just in case the power goes out.
And that times 20 in all. I think I am all done for now.
Truly hade been busy knitting each one of them in a different colour pattern almost made it one a day.
Though it is the same pattern, well 15th of them are in the Pressed Rib Cap & Muffler pattern by Churchmouse for the boys. Another five hats where knit in the Rikke Hat pattern by Sarah Young for the girls.
All the hats are to be given to a shelter by a customer of ours. I truly was a great project to knit the for her…and the teenagers that will receive them.
I truly hope it will keep them warm and they too will like them as much as I enjoyed knitting them for them.
Say warm and well.
I am so happy to ready this article that my hubby sent me a view days ago. He is always on the look out for me to get new ideas in Knitting, Quilting, Home Decorations, Family, What is the newest Fashion…you name it he will find it for me.
So please have a look at this link I posted here It talks all about YESSS
“Teen knitting is a huge trend today”
And not just with girls…Yes the Boys are realizing they meet the girls if they learn to knit or crochet …how about that for a change….
(As per this Article and I just picked a view lines that popped for me in this article:)
“Books about teen knitting are flying off the shelves faster than ever before, and high school knitting clubs are popping up everywhere. Unlike many other crafts, knitting is very accessible and satisfying for beginners, which is one reason why teen knitting is suddenly so hip. Teen knitting is most popular with girls, but more and more guys are picking up the hobby too. From stylish and cozy caps to ultra-modern iPod cozies, teen knitting today is about much more than just sweaters.
Teen knitting clubs are a logical offshoot of this new trend. Although knitting is in some ways a solitary activity, being part of a community of knitters is a great way to learn new techniques and get inspiration for new projects. The social aspect of teen knitting is a big reason why it is so popular. A lot of teen knitting is done by boys who want to make unique laptop covers, clothes that are the height of cool, or special gifts that any relative or girlfriend are sure to appreciate. The fact that teen knitting isn’t just a trend among girls really says something about how much gender roles have changed since grandma started making mittens.”
This is just to show you a view I-Pod Cozies that I found looking on the internet…really cool ideas. Some are Knit and some are crochet.
