Mona Monkeys In Grenada, Caribbean Island

If you had told me I am going to be having a Mona Monkey on my head this trip I would have not believed you.. well guess again.

Look at how beautiful this one is…

It is something so special to have had this amazing visit her at  Grand Etang National Rainforest. I am so thankful to have had this totally unexpected joy in my life. Meeting a Mona Monkey… My mom will be so envious.

Look at us all, who doesn’t sometimes love to monkey around and have fun. Cutty our tour guide is able to call them out of the jungle they even steel the food out of his pockets.

This one really enjoyed spending time with Annabelle

The mona monkey was transported to the island aboard slave ships headed to the New World during the 18th century.  Its tail and legs are black and the face is blue-grey with a dark stripe across the face. The mona monkey carries food in cheek pouche. An Old World monkey that comes from western Africa between Ghana and Cameroon.
