Zipper was to long……
NOOOOO!
Now what?
Thought I’ll show you how I fixed this issue…..
I had to replace a zipper on my hubby’s winter coat. I guess I could have taken it to the local dry cleaning place that will replace zippers at $30+ ….nonono I have a good sewing machine and I am sure I can do this too.
So I cut the top end of zipper off. Then took the piece I cut off reversed the teeth into the ends of the zipper so they now are interlocked with each other. As I needed a stopper at the top so the zipper-pully doesn’t come off zipper end.
I had a wood burning iron around the house from my kids that thy don’t use anymore. Took this and melted the two teeth that now are interlocked together. Voila I have a stopper on each side now…Sooo easy and perfect. Just needed to cut off the fabric part now and kind of melt the zipper fabric that has been cut so it would not fray
