Yes finally something fresh again from my garden….Rhubarb is ready for some good stuff. I love to make this flan we call “Weihe” in Switzerland. So yummy and soooo easy to make too. 
Make a pastry from flour, butter, water, vinegar and salt. Let it rest for about 1 hour in fridge. Roll the pastry out and place in backing dish, add the cut up rhubarb. Place in oven for 10 min. Now add the egg,milk and sugar mix to the flan backing in oven for another 45 min or till egg mixture is solid.
Ohhh sooo yummy

Loved seeing this post! Reminds me of my childhood and when my mother made this. She also used plums sometimes. It was our favorite dessert!

Oh so true my absolute favourite too. I could eat this every day. I too make it with plums, apples, cherries whatever is in season
