So am I having you wondering what this is?
“My 3 Shades Of Gray”
It is a cowl!
Yes knit up all in white and black. I thought I’ll create something fun and fast. So you too can knit it up asap.
Material needed for this cowl is:

2 skeins of Katia Air Lux about 600 meters in black
2 skeins of Katia Kiss about 500 meters in cream
1 Circular Needle size 4.5mm at a 60 to 80cm length
Pattern:
I am holding two strands of Katia AirLux together and using 4.5mm needle
Cast on 220 stitches.
This cowl will stretch a bit so if you like it shorter cast on 180 to 200 sts. I can wrap this cowl easily around my neck 3x
now knit in the round don’t worry if it is twisted!
**Knit one round ,
Purl one round,
Knit one round,
Purl one round…. and so on till you have 5 rib.
You want to end with a purl row.
Next row; k1, 2 yarn overs, k1, 2 yarn overs, k1, 2 YO, K1, 2YO continue this way to end of row.**
Next row; knit all stitches but drop all yarn overs (YO) down. That will give you the bigger stitch.
Next row; start with one purl row and then follow pattern
reaped like ** these rows ** till you run out of yarn or have the desired width of cowl.
Cast off with a bigger size needle to make sure it is lose enough.
I used different yarn too. Some I held double and some I only used one strand. Play with your colours too. In the middle pattern I held one white and one black strand together.
my cowl has a total of 5 pattern reps.
Enjoy and yes if you see an error in this pattern write-up just send me a note.
Smiles and hugs and have fun
Enjoy
