Short Sleeved Cardigan

Stunning how this Short Sleeved Cardigan turned out….

I am so lucky to receive every year a new subscription for knitting magazines from Europe sent to my by my parents.  One of then is the “Stricktrend” in German.

This pattern was in the latest edition and promptly one of my moms girlfriend was wondering if I would be able to knit her this gorgeous cardigan….Of course I am happy to knit this up for You Maria. Now I only hope it will fit you perfectly….

I remember times when Your girls and I would be hanging out at the Restaurant also Your home at the time walking thought the kitchen, their Dad cooking a meal for the guesst..I think sometimes we even became a icecream……ohhh yes how time has passed and so many great memories we have.

well for this cardigan I used 10 Skeins of Lana Grossa “Elastico”  (96% cotton & 4% polyester and ca. 160m to 50gram)  that was purchased by “Gomitolo” in Rheinfelden Switzerland. Then knit up with 4mm needles a great yarn.  I was surprised to see that the skein only cost CHF 6.90 I find that a relatively cheep compared to what we would pay for yarn here in Canada.

Atemberaubende wie diese Kurzarm Jacke schön geworden ist. Mir gefällt sie selber so gut das ich die für mich selber bald noch einmal stricken werde. 

Ich bin immer froh  jedes Jahr ein neues Abonnement für einige Strick Zeitschriften aus Europa in der Post zu bekommen. Meinen lieben Eltern besorgen das jedes Jahr für mich. Eines ist dann die “Stricktrend” in deutscher Sprache.

Dieses Muster war in der Stricktrends neusten Ausgabe. So kam es das eine nette Freundin von meiner Mutter sie fragte, ob ich in der Lage wäre ihr auch etwas zu stricken?  Natürlich freut mich sehr diese Jacke für Dich zu stricken Maria. Jetzt hoffe ich nur das die Jacke Dir auch gut passen wird….

Ich erinnere mich an Zeiten, wo wir Daniela(Dani) und Rosie bei Euch zu Hause im Restaurant waren, wo wir es lustig hatten….dann ap und zu ging es hinaus durch die Küche wo Eure Dad am Kochen war für die Gäste..ich glaub ap und zu bekamen wir dann auch eine “Glasse”….. ohhh ja, wie die Zeit vergangen ist und so viele schöne Erinnerungen die wir mache durften.

So für diese Strickjacke habe ich 10 Stränge von Lana Grossa “Elastico” (96% Baumwolle und 4% Polyester und ca. 160m mit 50gram), die bei “Gomitolo” in Rheinfelden Schweiz gekauft wurde. Dann mit 4mm Nadeln eine große Garn gestrickt. Ich war überrascht zu sehen, dass eine Strange nur CHF 6,90 gekostet hat. Ich finde, dass relativ billige zum Vergleich was wir für Garn hier bezahlen in Kanada.
